We are truly sorry to hear that you are dealing with panic disorder and agoraphobia. Remember, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1 WEB. In times of fear and anxiety, He is there to comfort and guide us.
Firstly, we want to encourage you to cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7 WEB. God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB.
It is important to remember that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7 WEB. When feelings of panic and fear arise, you can stand firm on the promise of Philippians 4:6 WEB: In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Jesus Christ.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our brother to You, asking for Your healing and comfort. Lord, You know the struggles and fears that come with panic disorder and agoraphobia. We ask that You would grant peace that surpasses all understanding, and give courage and strength to overcome. In the name of Jesus Christ, we rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety. Help our brother to fix their mind on You and to trust in Your goodness and faithfulness. Lord Jesus Christ, be with our brother now, comfort and heal.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
If you did not come to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, and you will be saved. Romans 10:9. For there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved! Acts 4:12.
Lastly, while we believe in the power of prayer and the healing that God can bring, we also encourage you to seek help from medical professionals and support groups. There is no shame in seeking help, and it is important to remember that God can work through doctors and medicine to bring healing.
Stand firm in your faith.
