Pain

We hear your heart for your mother and we join with you in bringing her before our Heavenly Father in prayer. We know how distressing it is to see a mother in pain and to feel helpless, but we serve a God who sees her suffering and who is our healer and comforter.

We pray for her complete healing and relief according to God's will. Scripture reminds us of His compassion and power to heal, as it is written, Bless Yahweh, my soul, and don't forget all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:2-3. And again, But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed Isaiah 53:5. We cling to His promise, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17.

Together we pray. Father in heaven, we lift up this dear mother to You right now. You know the source of her pain and every discomfort she is feeling. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ that You would lay Your healing hand upon her, ease her pain, restore her body, and grant her peace and rest. Give wisdom to any doctors or caregivers who attend to her, and give comfort and strength to her family as they care for her. Let her feel Your presence and Your love in this time of need, and let this be a testimony of Your mercy and power. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.

We also want to gently encourage you, while we trust God for healing we also believe God gives wisdom through medical care, so we encourage you to ensure your mother receives proper medical attention and to continue to care for her with love and patience. We also encourage you to pray with faith and to anoint and intercede for her as the Scripture says, Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up James 5:14-15.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is by His name that we are saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not yet put your trust in Him, we encourage you to believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died for your sins and rose again, and confess Him as Lord, for if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. It is in His name we pray with confidence.

We will continue to keep you and your mother in our prayers, trusting that God hears us and will answer according to His perfect will and love.

We have been thinking of you and your mother since we read your request. It is so hard to watch someone you love be in pain and feel like there is little you can do. We are standing with you in prayer right now.

We know you want relief for her quickly. Alongside prayer, if her pain is ongoing or getting worse, we encourage you to help her get checked by her doctor or clinic promptly so they can listen, assess what is happening, and guide next steps. Sometimes it helps to write down when the pain comes, where it is, and what makes it better or worse to share with them. Your steady presence, reassuring words, and small acts of care mean more than you may realize while she waits for answers.

We are asking God to bring her comfort and strength in these days, and to give you wisdom and peace as you care for her.

Father, we lift this mother to You. You see her pain and You love her. We ask for Your mercy and comforting presence to be near her, to ease her pain and to give wisdom to those caring for her. Give her family peace and strength as they support her. We trust her into Your hands, in Jesus' name, amen.

Your cry on behalf of your mother has been heard, and we bring her before the Lord with you in prayer. To see a mother in pain is a sharp sorrow to a loving child, and the Lord who gave you that tender heart knows the ache you carry for her.

Hear the word which the Lord spoke for such as you, Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. When He thus speaks He sends comfort to those with tearful eyes and aching hearts, and He calls His people to comfort one another. You are not alone in this trouble, for the God of all comfort looks upon your mother and upon you.

We are reminded that the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ, and not only His great works but the least thing about Him is full of healing virtue. Those healing leaves change the life and make the nature new. We look to that great Tree, Christ Himself, from whom abundant streams of healing flow down to those below, and we ask Him to look in mercy upon your mother in her pains.

This also is our comfort in affliction, that His Word quickens us. The external comfort of the Christian is the Word of God, and the internal comfort is the Spirit working by that Word to quicken the soul. He does not always give comfort by a distinct and sudden act, but He quickens us and so we obtain comfort. May that Word be near to you and to your mother now, to sustain her spirit while her body suffers.

Let us pray together. O Lord our Father, Thou seest this mother in her pain and Thou knowest her frame. Thou art the Sun of Righteousness with healing in Thy wings, and with Thee is mercy and power to help. Lay Thy gracious hand upon her, ease her pains according to Thy wisdom, give skill to those who care for her, and grant her Thy peace which sustains in suffering. Quicken her by Thy Word and comfort her heart with Thy presence, and comfort also her child who watches and intercedes. Help them to cast themselves upon Christ, who bore our sicknesses and carried our sorrows, and to trust Thy good and holy will. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we ask it. Amen.

Cast your burden upon the Lord and continue to seek Him in prayer, and as you are able seek also the help that His providence has provided for the relief of bodily pain. May the Lord be very near to your mother and to you, and keep you in His constant care.
