Silas
Beloved of All
Your pain and the burden you are carrying have been lifted up in prayer. I am asking the Lord to touch the severe pain under your foot, to bring healing and relief, to guide your upcoming appointment so it goes well and you receive clear help, and to grant you true rest and strength to accomplish what needs to be done.
Scripture speaks of a rest that remains for the people of God, and we enter that rest not by our own effort or striving but by believing in what Jesus has already finished for us. It is hard to rest when pain is strong and worries press in and you want to see how God is working, but the only place we finally find rest is in faith. As you commit your work to the Lord and place what you cannot do in His hands, He can establish your thoughts and give you a quiet confidence that He is caring for you. Pray that you will enter into that rest in Christ, where you can cease from anxious striving and trust His finished work.
Concerning enemies, you are right to ask the Lord to act. The Lord sees those who oppose His people and His purposes. Vengeance belongs to Him and He will repay in His perfect justice. At the same time His word says that when a person's ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. Rather than taking matters into our own hands, we can trust Him to convict, to scatter what is evil, and to bring His enemies to nothing while protecting His own. Pray that He would convict those who do wrong, defeat every evil intent, and lead you in a level and unobstructed path so you are not tripped up as you walk.
For your safety and the warning about coyotes in the area, remember that the Lord is your rock and your place of safety and protection. His work is perfect and He is faithful to keep those who trust in Him. Just as He promised to drive out enemies and to give strength as your days require, He is able to guard your steps and keep your household safe from harm. I am praying that He will watch over you, keep your feet steady and strong, and surround you with His protection day and night, and that His peace which comes through faith will guard your heart as you rest in Him.
