I am requesting prayer in Jesus name because I’m hopeless. I’m the person who had to escape a toxic workplace after over 20 years of service due to severe mobbing. Since that time I haven’t been able to find work and the debt and bills are piling up. My body is failing now and I cannot pay my bills. I’ve reached out to snap agency to see if I can get help with the arrears but I’m tired of being left behind. I feel like I should have been stronger to endure the abuse at least I would have a paycheck now. I’m not sure what God is doing but it feels awful. I’m hopeless and withering away slowly please if you can pray on my behalf in Jesus name. I believe in miracles but just not for myself

We hear your cry, dear brother or sister in Christ, and we lift you up before the throne of grace with heavy hearts. Your pain is real, your struggle is deep, and your weariness is understood. You have carried a burden that no one should have to bear, years of faithful service met with injustice, a body now failing under the weight of stress, and a financial strain that threatens to break you. Yet even in this, you have not abandoned your faith in miracles, and that is a testament to the Holy Spirit’s work in you.

First, we must rebuke the lie that you should have endured the abuse to keep a paycheck. Scripture is clear: "Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear Yahweh and depart from evil" (Proverbs 3:7). The workplace you fled was not just toxic, it was a place where evil was allowed to fester, and God does not call His children to remain in bondage to sin or oppression. You did the right thing by leaving, even if the consequences have been painful. The Lord sees your integrity, and He will not forget it: "For God is not unrighteous, so as to forget your work and the labor of love which you showed toward his name" (Hebrews 6:10).

Your current suffering is not a sign of God’s absence but an opportunity for His power to be made perfect in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). The enemy would have you believe that you are forgotten, that your best years are behind you, and that the bills will bury you. But we declare over you the truth of Psalm 34:19: "Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." This season is not your end, it is a refining fire, and the Lord is with you in the flames.

We also rebuke the spirit of self-condemnation that whispers you should have been "stronger." Strength in the Kingdom is not measured by human endurance but by surrender to Christ. "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." (2 Corinthians 12:9). You are not failing, you are being pruned so that you may bear fruit in a new season. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Let that truth sink deep into your soul.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our beloved brother/sister who is weary and heavy-laden. Lord, You see the injustice they have endured, the financial strain they carry, and the physical toll this season has taken. We ask You to move mightily on their behalf. Open doors of provision that no man can shut, whether through employment, assistance programs, or supernatural intervention. You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides, and we trust You to meet every need according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).

Father, heal their body. You are the Great Physician, and we ask for restoration and strength where there is weakness. Comfort their heart, Lord, and remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Break the chains of hopelessness and despair, and replace them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

We rebuke the spirit of poverty and lack in Jesus’ name. We declare that this season of lack is temporary, and that abundance is coming. We pray for favor with those who can assist them, landlords, creditors, and potential employers. Let Your light shine upon them, and let doors swing wide open for their breakthrough.

Lord, we also pray for their faith. Strengthen their trust in You, even when the path is unclear. Remind them that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28), and that their story is not over. Give them the courage to keep pressing forward, knowing that You are their reward.

Finally, Father, we ask that You surround them with Your presence. Let them feel Your love in tangible ways, through the kindness of believers, through answered prayers, and through the still, small voice that whispers, "I have not forgotten you." We thank You for the miracles You are already performing, and we trust You to bring them to full manifestation.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Beloved, we want to leave you with this encouragement: You are not "withering away." You are being prepared for a testimony that will glorify God and encourage others. The same God who parted the Red Sea, fed the five thousand, and raised Jesus from the dead is at work in your life. Hold fast to His promises. Reach out to your local church or Christian community for practical support, God often moves through His people. And remember, your worth is not defined by your employment status or bank account, but by the blood of Jesus Christ, who gave His life for you.

Keep your eyes on Him. The breakthrough is coming.

Thank you for sharing this so honestly. Giving more than ### years to a workplace and then having to leave to protect yourself from mobbing is not a small thing. It is a real loss of income, of daily structure, of identity and community, and it makes sense you would feel hopeless and question whether you should have stayed to keep a paycheck. Choosing to leave an abusive environment was not a failure of strength.

We hear how heavy the financial pressure feels now with debt and bills piling up and your body feeling the strain. Since you mentioned your body is failing, we encourage you gently to see a doctor or clinic soon for care, alongside prayer, so you are not carrying the physical burden alone.

You have already taken a steady step by reaching out to the SNAP agency about arrears. If you are able, keep a simple note of who you speak with and next follow up dates, and consider also connecting with a local church office or community action agency that often knows about additional resources for bills and employment support in your area. You do not have to sort all of this alone.

We are praying for you and holding hope with you even while you feel withered.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus name. You see the years of work, the hurt that led to leaving, the bills and the weariness in the body. Give wisdom for each next call and application, provide for daily needs, bring healing and rest, and let Your nearness be felt in this lonely season. Amen.

Your cry has been read with great heaviness of heart and with prayer before the Lord. To labour faithfully for more than twenty years and then to be driven out by mobbing and cruelty is a deep wound, and to carry afterward the burden of debt, failing health, unpaid bills and the long search for work without answer would make any soul feel withered and left behind. The Lord sees all of this. He does not despise your tears nor count your weariness as nothing.

Do not torment yourself with the thought that you should have been stronger and stayed to endure abuse so that you might keep a paycheck. The Lord never asks His children to offer their bodies and minds upon the altar of cruelty. To flee from oppression is not weakness. He who delivered His people from bondage knows what it is to be oppressed, and He is near to those who are crushed in spirit.

You speak of debt and arrears that press upon you daily. It is a heavy load to be over head and ears in debt in this world. Yet hear this truth for your soul. If you are in Christ you are also a debtor, but in another way, a debtor to His grace. We owe Him all we have and are, and an eternal song will not be too long to utter our grateful praise, for worthy is the Lamb that was slain. This debt to Him is not a crushing weight to destroy you, but a bond of love to hold you. And be assured of this, Christ will not be in even a boatman's debt. For every cup of cold water given in His name, for every honest labour of those twenty years, for every tear shed in secret, the Master takes account and will repay. He does not forget His people nor leave them without recompense in His own time and way.

You tell us your body is failing and you feel you are withering away. Take comfort that our Lord Jesus is the Chief Physician. For three years He walked the hospitals of His day. He lived as in an infirmary, for they laid the sick in the streets around Him and He put forth His hands and healed all manner of maladies. That same Jesus is omnipotent in the physical world still, though He has gone up on high and does not now give His bodily presence on earth. He is not distant from your pain. He did not merely watch sufferers from afar but came near and called others to feel sympathy with them, and He still calls His people to bear one another's burdens.

You write that you believe in miracles but just not for yourself. Hear the promise, there is all fulness in Christ and that fulness is for sinners who have nothing of their own. His mercy is not measured out to a few favourites. Whosoever will may come, and coming to Him, find grace to help in time of need. If you belong to Him, the miracle of His redeeming blood is already yours, and no other mercy is withheld that is for your good.

We are praying for you in Jesus name. We ask the Lord to lift the cloud of hopelessness that hangs over you, to show you that you are not forgotten or left behind, to provide for your daily needs and open a door for honest work according to His wisdom, to give skill and compassion to those who care for your body, and to grant help through the agency to which you have appealed and through His church. Above all we pray that He will give you to feel His presence, that you may know you are upheld though you feel you cannot stand, and that He will turn your withering into hope again by His Spirit.

Cast your burden upon the Lord, for He cares for you. Seek Him day by day in His Word, tell Him all your wants in plain prayer, and let the people of God near you know your need that they may help you bear it. You are not alone in this trial, and you are not without hope while Christ lives and reigns. May the Lord sustain you and keep you till brighter days come, and may He give you peace in the midst of the storm.

Your honest and painful request has been heard and I have prayed for you in the name of Jesus.

Thank you for sharing so openly about the hurt you have carried after leaving that workplace, the weight of debt and bills, the failing of your body, and the deep hopelessness you feel. It is understandable to feel left behind and worn down after more than twenty years of faithful service ended in such mistreatment, and then to face the long struggle without work. Please hear that choosing to leave a place of severe mobbing and abuse was not weakness. Enduring abuse is not what God requires of you to prove your strength or to earn His care. You did what was needed to protect the life God gave you.

You said you feel you should have been stronger and that you are not sure what God is doing, and that you believe in miracles but just not for yourself. God does not see you as forgotten. Scripture teaches that when we were at the point of perishing, God brought rescue by His grace, not because we had earned it. His grace is given freely, and from His fullness we receive grace upon grace. That includes pardon, but also sonship, mercy, and daily lovingkindness. You are not outside that grace. You are His child, and He is patient and compassionate toward you in this season of need.

You also mentioned debt and reaching out for help with arrears. The Lord knows what it is to owe a debt we cannot pay, and He Himself is the One who forbears and shows mercy when we cannot make things right on our own. He does not despise His children for needing help, and neither should anyone call a person in need an impostor for asking. It is right and good to seek help, whether through the agency you contacted, through local help, or through the church family. Needing help does not make you a burden. It makes you human, and God moves His people to bear one another's burdens.

I have prayed for you specifically in Jesus name, that the Lord would lift this heavy hopelessness and bring you comfort and strength each day, that He would provide for your financial needs and open a door for suitable work in His timing, that He would touch your body with healing and sustain you, and that He would show you clearly that you are not left behind but held and remembered by Him. I have asked that He would renew your hope and let you see that His miracles are indeed for you also, not only for others, because His mercy is abundant and personal.

If you are withering away and feeling hopeless, please do not walk through this alone. Keep reaching out to trusted people around you, to a local church, pastor, or counselor, and to those who can help with practical needs. If these feelings grow heavier, please tell someone close to you right away or contact a trusted support line in your area so you are not alone in the night.

You are seen, you are prayed for, and you are not forgotten by God. Your honesty about this deep pain is heard, and thank you for trusting us to pray for you in Jesus name. What you have carried is heavy, and leaving a workplace after more than twenty years because of sustained mistreatment was not a sign that you were weak. Enduring abuse is not strength, and choosing to protect your health and conscience was not failure. It is understandable that you now feel withered and left behind as bills grow, work has not come, and your body is suffering under the strain.

Scripture shows that God has always drawn to Himself people who are in the very place you describe. When David was rejected and hiding in a cave, those who gathered to him were described as distressed, in debt, and discontented, people with nowhere else to turn. They were not a strong army at first, just a hurting and indebted band seeking refuge with the Lord's anointed. God formed them into mighty men who stood with David and saw His kingdom established. Jesus is the greater King from David's line, and He still invites the weary, the indebted, and the broken to come to Him. He does not turn away those who feel they have nothing left to offer. He restores and strengthens them.

That same hope is the only true cure for the hopelessness that afflicts us all. Long ago Judah was destroyed by a deep spiritual illness, a turning away from God, and the same illness is at work in our world today and in every human heart that feels abandoned and without remedy. There is no other remedy except to turn to the Lord Himself. He alone can heal the heart, forgive sin through the cross of Jesus, and bring us into His family. When we accept His cure, we are not left captive to despair and to the enemies of fear and shame. God hears, God helps, and God remains near to the brokenhearted.

You wrote that you believe in miracles but not for yourself. The Lord who made those distressed men into a testimony of His power does miracles for the very people who think they are forgotten. He sees your struggle to find work, the arrears you are trying to address, and the failing of your body, and His care for you is not less than His care for anyone else. Your weariness does not disqualify you from His mercy. Jesus said, Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. The Lord is near to those who are crushed in spirit, and He promises to be your shepherd, provider, and healer according to His perfect will.

We are praying for you now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear one to You. You see the years of service, the pain of being mistreated, the weight of debt, the search for work, and the weakness of the body. Lord, have mercy and bring help. Provide for daily needs, open doors for work or provision, give wisdom to those reviewing the request for assistance, and touch the body with Your healing hand. Above all, let Your presence be felt, lifting hopelessness and bringing peace that passes understanding. Remind this heart that You have not left or forsaken Your child, and that Your power is still able to restore and rebuild. Give strength for each day, connect this life with caring people who can walk alongside, and let hope rise again through faith in Jesus. Amen.
