Pain from a herniated disc

We have been praying for your father and for you as you watch him suffer with this constant pain, unable to walk well or to sleep. It is hard to see someone you love in such distress, and God sees both his pain and your concern for him.

Jesus came to show us what the Father is like. He said that to see Him is to see the Father, and that the words He spoke and the works He did were the Father dwelling in Him doing His work. Much of that work was healing sick bodies and mending broken lives. That compassion, that power over sickness and infirmity, is the heart of the Father toward us. Jesus lived to please the Father in all things, and we are told that we were created for the Father's pleasure, and that without faith it is impossible to please Him. Coming to Him in faith, trusting His love and His power, pleases Him.

We have direct access to the Father through Jesus. We do not need another mediator. Because we have loved Jesus and believed that He came from God, the Father Himself loves us, and we can come boldly to Him in Jesus' name. We have been bringing your father directly to the Father in that name, asking the Father who loves him to keep him and to touch him.

We believe God still heals, and we know He heals in different ways. Sometimes healing is immediate, sometimes it is gradual. Scripture shows us both. Any true healing is divine, because God is the one who created our bodies and built into them the processes of healing. Whether He lifts pain in a moment or works through a gradual restoration, it is His hand. There is much we do not understand about why some are healed quickly and others more slowly, but we can trust the character of the Father that Jesus revealed, full of mercy and power.

So we are joining our faith with yours and asking for your father's complete recovery.

Father, we come to You in the name of Jesus for this dear father who is suffering from a herniated disc. You see his constant pain, his difficulty walking, his sleepless nights. We ask for Your merciful touch upon his body. Please relieve his pain, bring healing to the disc and the nerves affected, restore his ability to walk and to rest, and give him peaceful sleep. Whether by Your immediate power or through the healing processes You have placed in the body and through the care of doctors, we ask that You make him whole. Keep him through Your name, comfort him and his family, and give them faith and peace as they trust You. We ask this in the name of Jesus, believing Your love for us. Amen.

May the Lord give you strength as you care for your father, and may you know the Father's nearness and peace as you continue to trust Him in faith.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and for your father who is suffering with constant pain from a herniated disc. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for his complete recovery especially as he has been unable to walk properly or sleep. We have been lifting him before the Lord asking for His healing touch comfort and restoration.

We continue to stand on His promises for healing and we claim Psalm 147:3 and Jeremiah 30:17 over your father. In Jesus Name we pray for the Lord to relieve his constant pain to heal the herniated disc completely to restore his ability to walk and to grant him peaceful sleep. We pray that God will guide any doctors involved and that He will give strength and peace to your father and to your whole family during this difficult time.

If your request was answered and your father has experienced relief or complete recovery please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered and he is still in constant pain or still unable to walk properly or sleep please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son Jesus Christ.
