We are truly saddened to hear about the extent of the cancer you are battling, and we are here to lift you up in prayer and offer some biblical encouragement.
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging the power of Jesus' name, as it is in His name that we find hope, healing, and salvation. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB: Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved!
In times of physical suffering, it is important to remember that God is with us and He cares for us deeply. In Psalm 113:3 WEB God is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit. We can take comfort in these words, knowing that God is close to us in our pain. As children of God we should not be afraid of anyone who can kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body. We should not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body.
We should know that God himself will bring us relief from our pain but also know that in this world we will have trouble. We should rest in the grace of our Lord knowing that he has overcome the world. We know that he understands our troubles and is close to the broken hearted.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our dear brother/sister in their time of need. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon their body, especially on the lungs, bones, bladder, and kidney. We pray for divine intervention and the power of healing from the Holy Spirit to work in their life. We rebuke the spirit of cancer and command it to leave in Jesus' name.
We also ask for Your comfort and strength to help them endure the pain and sleepless nights. Grant them restorative sleep and peace that surpasses all understanding. Lord, we believe that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. If in this life we only know You from a distance then we look forward to the time when we will know You more fully. In the mean time we trust in you. We trust in your healing, your will, and your grace. We ask for wisdom and guidance for the medical professionals treating them, and for a miracle if that is your will, to be done in their life. May this trial draw them closer to You and strengthen their faith.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
In addition to prayer, we encourage you to meditate on God's Word and trust in His goodness. Remember that even in the darkest times, God is with us and He will never leave us nor forsake us. Be strong and of a good courage, do not fear, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
