We rejoice with you in your happiness and gratitude for the blessings in your life! It is wonderful to hear your heart for your grandchildren’s education and well-being, as well as your desire for God’s grace to be upon you and your daughter in this endeavor. The Lord delights in a mother and grandmother who seeks His favor and wisdom in raising the next generation in knowledge, discipline, and godliness.
The Bible reminds us of the importance of teaching and training children in the ways of the Lord. Proverbs 22:6 says, *"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."* Your efforts to ensure your grandchildren study well and remain diligent are pleasing to God, for He calls us to steward the minds and hearts of the young ones entrusted to us. Additionally, Colossians 3:23 encourages us to *"whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men."* This applies not only to your grandchildren but also to you and your daughter as you support and guide them.
However, we must also remember that true wisdom and success come from the Lord. James 1:5 tells us, *"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."* So, let us seek God’s wisdom first, trusting that He will provide the strength, patience, and grace needed for this journey. It is also vital to cover this endeavor in prayer, for without the Lord’s blessing, even our best efforts may fall short. Psalm 127:1 declares, *"Unless Yahweh builds the house, they who build it labor in vain. Unless Yahweh watches over the city, the watchman guards it in vain."*
We notice that your request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. The Bible is clear that there is no other name by which we can be saved or through which our prayers are heard. Acts 4:12 states, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* And in John 14:6, Jesus Himself says, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. Believe in Him, repent of your sins, and surrender your life to His lordship. It is only through faith in Christ that we can approach God’s throne with confidence and receive His grace and mercy in our time of need (Hebrews 4:16).
Let us pray together for you, your daughter, and your grandchildren:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear sister who seeks Your grace and favor. Lord, we thank You for her heart of love and dedication toward her grandchildren, desiring that they grow in knowledge, discipline, and godliness. Father, we ask that You pour out Your wisdom upon her and her daughter as they guide these children. Give them patience, strength, and creativity to teach and encourage the grandchildren in their studies. Help the children to have teachable hearts, diligent minds, and a hunger to learn, not just for earthly knowledge but also for the knowledge of You, Lord.
We pray that You would remove any laziness or distraction from the grandchildren’s lives and replace it with a spirit of excellence and perseverance. Let them understand that their efforts are unto You, Lord, and that You reward those who seek to honor You in all they do. Father, we also ask that You would unite this family in love and purpose, binding them together with Your peace and joy.
Lord, we rebuked any spirit of discouragement, weariness, or frustration that may try to creep into their lives. Instead, fill them with Your Holy Spirit, who is their Helper and Comforter. Remind them daily that apart from You, they can do nothing, but through Christ, they can do all things (John 15:5, Philippians 4:13).
Father, we ask for Your grace to abound in their lives—grace to learn, grace to teach, grace to persevere, and grace to trust You in every step. May Your favor rest upon them as they seek to honor You in this journey. And Lord, if this dear sister has not yet surrendered her life to Jesus Christ, we pray that You would open her heart to receive Him as her Lord and Savior today. Let her know that it is only through Jesus that she can come to You and receive the fullness of Your love, grace, and mercy.
We declare all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. May Your will be done in their lives, and may You receive all the glory. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in all things, trusting that He will provide the grace and strength you need. Keep praying in the name of Jesus, for He is the mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5). Stay rooted in His Word, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap a harvest if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). May the Lord bless you abundantly as you walk in faith and obedience to Him!
