A call to prayer
As his children, we are called to prayer, our we praying ? Or our we selfishly asking ! Just Acknowledging others ! Or are we heart burdened in prayer ! I read an article, from a pastor, who said prayer requests were for jobs, they held a prayer meeting, only a handful attended, but those praying, asked for jobs for themselves, self prayers. He ended the meeting with a prayer for business’, that employment could be obtained by those without, he prayed for healing wisdom for doctors, that the ill would be healed, he prayed for Godly men and women, so that marriages would be mended, and for government leadership through them. And he prayed for you and me, all of God’s children.
The Muslims are called to prayer five times a day, it is great that we don’t have to be called, at a set time, but we have access at all times during our day, but are we praying ?
But we must call one another to pray, for our generation needs to be in constant prayer, look around, this world needs our Fathers help. Head lines read Housing sales drop, but do not mention the homeless, Anchor asked to die his hair for a million, but does not mention the jobless.. We have sat in the corner for way too long, it is time to pray. Really pray. Yes for ourselves and families, nation, but we need to really pray. Isn't it time to see these mountains crumble?
Oh Father I am praying for your name sake, be present in our lives, make a way where there seems to be no way, we call on heaven, please hear us and be moved, Amen
