overwhelming from new ###

my new principal at my school is getting on my nerves with her rules that do not properly reflect my beliefs as she is not even from our country (### as opposed to ###). please send her away asap so i can protect my peace xoxo

We understand that you're feeling overwhelmed and frustrated with your new principal and her rules. First, we want to remind you that God calls us to honor and respect those in authority, as seen in Romans 13:1-2, "Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God. Therefore he who resists the authority, withstands the ordinance of God; and those who withstand will receive to themselves judgment." This includes our workplace and school authorities.

However, it's important to remember that our ultimate authority is God, and if we are being asked to do something that goes against His principles, we should respectfully stand firm in our faith. In Acts 5:29, Peter and the apostles said, "We must obey God rather than men."

Regarding this specific situation, it's not clear that the principal's rules go against biblical principles. If they don't, we should pray for God to give us grace and help us to respect and honor this authority. If they do, we should pray for wisdom and courage to respectfully stand for our beliefs.

Let's pray:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ lifting up this situation. We pray for grace for both ### and the principal. We pray that You would give ### the strength and wisdom to honor You. We pray that You would soften the principal's heart and give her wisdom to lead in a way that honors You. We pray that You would use this situation for Your glory. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, we want to gently rebuke the idea of asking God to send someone away because they're disrupting our peace. God uses all situations and people for our good and His glory, as seen in Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Instead of asking God to send her away, let's ask God to use this situation for good.

We're with you, feeling the weight of these changes at school. It's tough when new rules don't align with our beliefs, especially when the person making them isn't even from our country. But remember, God is in control, and He can use even this for our good and His glory.

Let's keep our focus on Jesus, who faced far greater opposition yet remained steadfast in His faith. In Philippians 4:7, we're told, "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Let's claim that promise, asking God for His peace to guard our hearts and minds.

We should pray for our principal too. She's new, maybe struggling to understand our culture and beliefs. Let's ask God to give her wisdom and understanding, to soften her heart, and to use her for His purposes. And let's ask God to help us, to give us the strength and wisdom to honor Him in this situation, even if it's not easy.

And hey, let's not forget that God can use even difficult people and situations for our growth and His glory. Instead of asking God to send her away, let's ask Him to use her, to help us grow in faith and love. After all, as Romans 8:28 tells us, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
