We hear the weariness in your request and we join with you in asking the Lord to bring order and calm to this season of overload where everything seems to be happening at once and there is no peaceful moment to catch your breath. You have spoken truth when you quoted that God is not the author of confusion, for the Scripture says God is not a God of confusion, but of peace, 1 Corinthians 14:33, and we cling to that promise with you. We also remember how Jesus stood in the boat in the midst of the storm and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, Peace, be still, Mark 4:39, and the wind ceased and there was a great calm, and we know He is the same yesterday, today and forever and He still speaks that same peace over the chaos in our lives.

We know this kind of three ring circus atmosphere can leave us feeling anxious, distracted and exhausted, trying to carry more than we were meant to carry at once. The Lord does not want us to live in that constant turmoil. He invites us to come to Him and cast our burdens on Him. We are told to cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you, 1 Peter 5:7, and to be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7. Jesus Himself says Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest, Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls, Matthew 11:28-29.

We notice your request speaks of God but does not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and to this very peace we are seeking. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life, No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6, and there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved and by which we can boldly approach the throne of grace. It is because of His sacrifice and resurrection that we can bring this chaos to God and expect Him to hear us.

We pray together with you now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one who is overwhelmed and weary from too many things happening at once. Lord, You see the confusion and the noise and the lack of rest, and we ask You to speak Your peace over this storm. Lord, calm the chaos, quiet what needs to be quieted, and order what needs to be ordered according to Your perfect will. Help this one to be still and know that You are God, Psalm 46:10, and to keep their mind stayed on You so that You will keep them in perfect peace, Isaiah 26:3, because they trust in You. We ask that You grant wisdom to know what to lay down, what to prioritize, and what to entrust to You, and that You would guard their heart and mind with Your peace that passes all understanding. Give peaceful moments, restorative rest, and the assurance that You are in control even when life feels like a whirlwind. We ask this in the name of Jesus, who is our peace, Amen.

We encourage you to intentionally seek that stillness with the Lord each day, even if only for a few minutes to pray, to breathe, and to let His Word renew your mind. He promises Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you, John 14:27, not as the world gives, and that peace can guard you even when circumstances remain busy. Keep casting every care on Him, trusting that He who commands the wind and waves is also able to command calm into your days.

Father, we lift our friend to You right now. You see the chaos and the tiredness and the longing for calm. There is a word of promise that meets you in this very hour of overload and confusion, for it is written, You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.

You describe a thronging of duties and cares, a three ring circus where there seems no still moment, and the soul cries out for calm. Such a condition is known to the Lord, and He is not the author of confusion but the God of peace. As the Spirit once brooded over the dark and formless chaos and brought forth order, so He can brood over the chaos of a weary heart and bring quiet where there was tumult.

This perfect peace of which the prophet speaks is not found in the absence of trouble, nor in the mere lulling of conscience to sleep. False peace says peace, peace where there is no peace, but the true peace is a blessing from the Lord Himself. It is His own peace, the unruffled and profound peace of the Lord Jesus Christ, purchased by His blood. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, and to do the will of Jesus is rest even when duties press hard upon you. When sorrows surge round about, on Jesus bosom nothing but calm is found.

Remember how He spoke to the storm tossed sea, Peace, be still, and the wind ceased and there was a great calm. He who spoke then still speaks now, and His word has power. He does not always at once remove the cares, but He can keep you in perfect peace in the midst of them, with your mind stayed upon Him in simple trust.

We pray for you now that the Lord will bless you with this peace. May He quiet the confusion and still the noise within and without, and grant you seasons of rest in His presence. May He keep your mind stayed upon Christ, who is our peace, and fill you with that peace in believing which passes all understanding, a peace that is like a river flowing from the very throne of God. May you know that to trust Him fully in the hurry and press of life is to find rest for your soul, and may His calm reign in your bosom till the circus and clamor abate and you can say with the hymn, Peace, perfect peace, in this dark world of sin, the blood of Jesus whispers peace within.

Your cry for calm in the midst of so much noise and pressure is heard, and it is right to bring it to the Lord. When everything happens at once and there is no peaceful moment, life can feel like a storm at sea with waves coming from every side, and like a crowded circus where nothing is still.

Scripture tells us that God is not the author of confusion but of peace, and that Jesus himself stood up in the storm and said, Peace be still, and the wind and waves obeyed him. The peace he gives is not merely the absence of trouble outside us, but a steadiness within us even while troubles remain. As he said, My peace I give to you, not as the world gives. The world's peace depends on everything being quiet around us, but Christ's peace keeps the soul calm and strong even when circumstances are loud.

In such a time, bring everything to him with a sincere heart, calling upon the Lord out of a pure heart and without pretense. Like sailors in a storm who lighten the ship by casting overboard what would drag them down, lay your burdens, worries and cares upon Christ, trusting him to carry what you cannot. Do not hold fast to anxiety as if you must manage it all yourself, but let him lighten your heart.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, you see the overload and the chaos that weighs so heavily right now. You know every demand, every worry, and every restless moment without peace. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ that you would speak your peace over this storm and say Peace be still. Grant calm where there is confusion, rest where there is weariness, and order where there is turmoil. Guard the heart and mind with the peace that passes all understanding, and teach us to walk close to you day by day, casting all our cares upon you because you care for us. Give wisdom to handle what must be done and grace to release what can be left with you, so that even in a busy season there may be quietness of soul. In Jesus name, Amen.

Your cry about overload and chaos is heard, and the longing for things to calm and for that three ring circus atmosphere to lift is a longing God understands. Scripture is true when it says God is not the author of confusion but of peace, and where confusion reigns, that is not His work. He desires order and peace for His people, and He desires it for you.

To know that kind of peace in a world filled with turmoil, it helps to remember there are two parts. First there must be peace with God, and that only comes through Jesus Christ who made peace through His blood on the cross. When sins are forgiven and the war between a heart and God is ended, the inner battle begins to quiet. Then there is the peace of God itself, the steady keeping of your heart and mind when everything around you is still noisy. Jesus spoke of this when He said, Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you, not as the world gives. The world offers distraction or a brief pause in circumstances, but His peace is different. It is the peace that passes all human understanding, and it can guard you even while responsibilities are still pressing in.

That promised peace is described as perfect peace for the one whose mind is stayed on Him, because he trusts in Him. As your mind turns toward the Lord and rests upon Him, His peace begins to fill your heart. It is not found by trying harder to control every spinning plate, but by fixing your thoughts on His character, His power, and His care for you, and trusting that He will take care of what you have entrusted to Him. God has thoughts of peace toward you, not of evil, and He invites you to call upon Him and pray to Him, with the promise that He will listen.

So in this season of many things happening at once, bring each burden to Him in prayer. Lay the chaos before Him and ask Him to establish order where there has been confusion, and to do what only He can do and speak with authority over the storm, Peace, be still. Ask Him to keep your mind stayed on Him through the day, to sow peace where you can, and to let you reap the quiet fruit of righteousness that comes from walking in His wisdom, which is peaceable.

May the Lord speak peace to you as His child, keep you in His perfect and complete peace as you trust in Him, and guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. May He lift the weight of overload, still the confusion, and ordain peace for you as He works in you, until you know deep within that the war is over and you are safely held in Him.
