This testimony may not seem like much to some, and may even anger others. I hesitated for so long because following the event, I was physically attacked, and some other things happened. But, I promised God that I would give Him public praise, through testimony, for the private prayers that He answers publicly. So, here goes.
I trust God implicitly; therefore, I generally don't like to ask for signs as confirmation. But, last year, in a brief moment of uncertainty, like Gideon, I asked God for just that. I simply asked: "LORD, if it's Your voice that I'm still hearing, in the realm of sports, let it be an East Coast, West Coast world series."
Now, because I really like both the teams that ended up competing for the title, I tried not to play favorites. Therefore, not at all to diminish the East Coast: But, as always, God foreknew the details. Seemingly; out of nowhere, those West Coast fans showed up and showed out. They had no idea that I had prayed that prayer. Perhaps it was because they had experienced a Super Bowl victory - also, seemingly out if nowhere.
2 Timothy 2 (AMP)
¹²If we endure, we shall also reign with Him. If we deny and disown and reject Him, He will also deny and disown and reject us. ¹³If we are faithless [do not believe and are untrue to Him], He remains true (faithful to His Word and His righteous character), for He cannot deny Himself.
Don't get upset with me because God is faithful to His Word. Like I said before, "I've got to give Him glory because I get to give Him glory.
I don't know in which area of sports; but, I still have the East Coast on my radar, and I am certain that God does too.
