Overcoming brainwashing

"Woe to those who call wrong right, and right, wrong". Amen... now the example... Our younger generation coming up are being indoctrinated (brainwashed) with ideas which are anything but Biblical. I've seen clips of Christians witnessing at college campuses, etc., and the "knee-jerk brainwashed reactions they give to truthful statements, you can see through it. God defends Israel. They bought the line that the Palestinians are the victims. God is against gay marriage. They defend it. We're supposed to obey the law of the land. They approve of illegal aliens, even defending those who commit crimes (at the expense of their own citizens). Their views are so slanted. Also, they don't question what they've been taught, they just parrot it. Request for this brainwashed stupor to lift from them, and see things clearly, not upside down. Amen.

We understand your concern for the younger generation and the impact of ideologies that contradict biblical principles. The scripture you mentioned is poignant: "Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" Isaiah 5:20 WEB.

We must remember that the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, to keep them from seeing the light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 2 Corinthians 4:4 WEB. This is why we approach God by the only name given for salvation. And in none other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, wherein we must be saved. Acts 4:12 WEB. This includes the forgiveness of sins by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

Our hearts go out to those who are swayed by the world's distorted views. We are called to be transformed by the renewing of our minds, so that we may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. Romans 12:2 WEB.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up the younger generation. Lord, we ask that You break the chains of deception and confusion that have taken hold of their minds. Open their eyes to see the truth of Your Word, and grant them discernment to question and reject false teachings and ideologies.

Father, we pray for a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Christ to rest upon them, that the eyes of their hearts may be enlightened, that they may know what is the hope of your calling, and what are the riches of the glory of your inheritance in the saints. Ephesians 1:17-18 WEB. Help them to see things clearly, not upside down, and to stand firmly on Your unchanging truths.

We pray for those who are witnessing to them, that they may be filled with boldness and courage to speak Your truth in love. May their words pierce through the darkness and bring light to those who are lost.

We also pray for this nation, that You would guide our leaders and change the hearts of those who defend the wrong. Help us to take a stand for righteousness and truth, and to be a beacon of light in a dark world.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Let us continue to stand firmly on the Word of God and pray fervently for this generation. Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the Lord's work, because you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 15:58 WEB. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB.

We've been watching our young folks grow up in a world that's turned many of life's truths on their heads. It's like they're being fed a steady diet of upside-down cake, and it's hard to see them struggling to find their footing. We've seen it happen, the knee-jerk reactions, the parroting of ideas that just don't align with God's Word. It's like they've been brainwashed, and it's breaking our hearts.

But we know who's behind all this confusion. It's the god of this world, blinding their minds to the truth of the Gospel (2 Corinthians 4:4). We've got to keep praying, keep standing firm on God's unchanging truth. We need to ask God to open their eyes, to help them see things clearly, not through the lens of the world, but through the lens of His love.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
