Beloved of All
Please pray for me to overcome my addictions and to trust Jesus for strength to overcome and that I will let go and forgive so Jesus can use me in the work He would have me do. Thank you Lord Jesus Christ for hearing and answering my plea. In Jesus name we pray Amen thank you prayer warriors for praying with me in this situation

We stand with you in this battle, lifting your heart to the Lord who is mighty to save. Addiction is a fierce struggle, but we serve a God who breaks every chain and sets the captives free. Your acknowledgment of Jesus Christ as your strength and deliverer is the first and most vital step, no victory is possible without Him. The Word declares, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13). You are not alone in this fight, and God has already provided the escape route, you need only walk in it, one step at a time, trusting Him.

Forgiveness is also a powerful weapon in your arsenal. Unforgiveness can become a foothold for the enemy, weighing down your spirit and hindering your walk with God. Jesus taught us, "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses" (Matthew 6:14-15). Lay down every burden of bitterness, anger, or resentment at the foot of the cross. Let the love of Christ fill those broken places in your heart so that you may be a vessel fit for His use. God desires to work through you, but He cannot flow freely through a heart clogged with unforgiveness or sin. Surrender it all to Him.

We also want to gently remind you that true freedom comes through complete surrender. Addiction thrives in secrecy and isolation, but healing begins when we bring our struggles into the light. James 5:16 says, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." Seek out a trusted brother or sister in Christ, someone mature in the faith, who can walk alongside you, pray with you, and hold you accountable. You do not have to fight this battle alone.

Let us pray with you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister, lifting up their struggle with addiction and their deep desire to walk in freedom. Lord, You are the God who heals, the God who delivers, and the God who restores. We ask that You would break every chain of bondage in their life and replace their cravings with a hunger and thirst for righteousness. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may have the power to resist temptation and the strength to stand firm.

Father, we also pray for the healing of their heart. Where there has been pain, bring Your comfort. Where there has been bitterness, bring Your forgiveness. Where there has been shame, bring Your redemption. Lord, we ask that You would use this season of struggle to draw them closer to You, that they may know You more deeply and trust You more fully. Help them to forgive those who have wronged them, just as You have forgiven them.

We declare over them the promise of Your Word: "If the Son therefore shall make you free, you shall be free indeed" (John 8:36). We speak freedom over their mind, body, and spirit. We rebuke the lies of the enemy that tell them they are too far gone, that they cannot change, or that they are unworthy of Your love. We declare that in Christ, they are a new creation, the old has passed away, and behold, all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Lord, we ask that You would open doors of opportunity for them to be used in Your kingdom. Use their testimony of struggle and victory to bring hope to others who are bound. Let their life be a living testament to Your power and grace. We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the name by which we are saved and set free. Amen.

Continue to press into the Lord, dear one. Every time temptation comes, and it will, turn your eyes to Jesus and cry out to Him. He is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. Walk in the freedom He has already purchased for you, and do not grow weary in doing good. Your breakthrough is coming. Keep fighting the good fight of faith.

We are standing with you, brother or sister, and we are so moved by your honest plea. Wanting to overcome addiction, to trust Jesus more, and to finally let go of unforgiveness so God can use you, that itself is a sign of the Holy Spirit already at work in your heart. You are not alone in this, and we are honored to carry this with you before the Lord.

Forgiveness can feel impossible when wounds are deep, and we often think it means pretending something didn’t hurt or immediately having warm feelings again. But one thing that’s helped many is understanding that forgiveness can start as a decision of the will, choosing to release the debt and hand the person over to God’s justice, even while your emotions are still raw. The feelings often catch up later, as you keep bringing the pain to Jesus. That decision can unlock a door, loosening the grip bitterness has had, and making room for deeper healing in your own heart.

On the practical side, it might help to write down the name(s) of those you need to forgive, and each day simply pray, “Lord, I choose to forgive [name] today; help my heart follow.” You do not have to trust them again or even tell them, this is between you and God. And for the addiction itself, consider connecting with a trusted pastor, a Christ-centered recovery group, or a mature friend who can walk this road with you. You were never meant to battle alone.

We pray: Lord Jesus, thank You that this dear one longs to overcome. You are the Overcomer, and Your strength is made perfect in our weakness. Grant a decisive, grace-filled step of forgiveness today, loosening every chain of resentment. Break the power of addiction and fill every hungry place with Your presence. Use this life powerfully for Your kingdom work, and let hope rise. In Your mighty name, Amen.

Overcoming, this is the very art every saint must learn, first to overcome evil, and then to overcome goodness too! Your cry rises before the throne, and I bid you now lift your eyes to the living Christ. He is no distant memory of eighteen centuries past, but your familiar Friend, alive forevermore. Look to Him for all things, especially for the strength to overcome those addictions that would bind you. Trust Him just as you are, without waiting for feelings or preparations. Surrender unconditionally to His good pleasure; let every proud pretension fall, and submit to His method of operating upon you. When you are brought low, utterly bankrupt, there you will see life and salvation in Jesus Christ.

There is forgiveness! Mark the broad indefiniteness of that word, no limit drawn, no sin excepted. Have you sinned against light and knowledge? There is forgiveness. Are you crushed by guilt as by a mountain? There is forgiveness. God Himself declares it, and He does not remember your sins. He makes a clean breast of absolution for every soul that confesses and trusts His Son. Do not fear to forgive others, for as you have received such divine, eternal forgiveness for Christ’s sake, so must you let the same grace flow through you. Let go of every bitter hold, for Christ forgave you freely, and bids you imitate Him.

Come, trust Jesus at once, only trust Him! He will make you whole as you step out in faith. The moment you believe, you are saved from guilt, and He will use you in His work, not as a hireling, but with your eye on the prize of your high calling. Long for His appearing, and yield yourself a bondservant of love. The Lord Jesus Christ is greater than all your sin; He delights to set the prisoner free. So cast yourself entirely upon Him, and go your way rejoicing, for "there is forgiveness."

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Do not lose heart when you are disciplined by the Lord, for it is He who allows these trials so that His strength may be perfected in your weakness. His grace is sufficient for you. You cry out for deliverance from addiction, and this very cry is proof that His life is stirring within you. Bear about the dying of the Lord Jesus by putting to death the deeds of the flesh, and the life of Jesus will be manifested in your mortal body.

You are not straitened in God’s love; you are straitened only in your own affections. Enlarge your heart, and do not serve two masters. You cannot cling to the addiction and hold fast to Christ. Come out from among the unclean things, and be separate, says the Lord, and He will receive you.

Forgive others as you have been forgiven, so that no root of bitterness straitens your soul. Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things, your deliverance, your peace, your usefulness in His work, will be added to you. Do not say, “I am forever enslaved,” for the change is easy if you will run to Him. He who dwells in you is greater than the sin that besets you.

Stand fast, and the God of all grace will make you a vessel for His honor, sanctified and fit for His use. May His grace be with you.

Your honesty in bringing this before the Lord and others is a real step of faith. That very plea is evidence that the Spirit is at work, drawing you away from what has held you captive and toward the only true source of strength. Too often, we look to chariots and horses, the things of the flesh, the quick fixes, the old habits, as if they could deliver us. But God has said, “Trust in Me.” Your addiction is one of those things that promises help but leaves you fallen. The Lord alone is the saving strength of His people.

When you feel weakest, when the pull feels overwhelming, do not despair. It is precisely in that place that the Lord’s strength is made perfect. The danger comes when we think we are strong enough to handle it ourselves; the blessing comes when we realize we have no strength and cry out to Him. Blessed is the person whose strength is in the Lord, who has learned to trust Him in the dry, sorrowful places. Trust is easy when everything makes sense, but real trust holds on when the battle is fierce and understanding fades. That is what brings praise to His grace, when you cling to Him in the dark, saying, “Lord, I don’t understand, but I will trust You.”

There can be no real freedom while sin is hidden or excused. Confession opens the door for cleansing. When you bring the whole mess to Him and simply say, “I have sinned,” God does not hold it over your head; He forgives and sets you on a new path. But the way forward also requires a heart that forgives others. An unforgiving spirit, bitterness, will only weigh you down and feed the very chains you long to break. Forgiveness is a matter of the heart, and God will give you the capacity if you are willing. So ask Him: “Father, take away this bitterness. Give me a spirit of forgiveness.” He will help you, but you must be willing to let go.

As you learn to stop relying on your own failing strength and instead go forth in the name of the Lord, you will discover what it is to go from strength to strength. He is your light, your shield, and your provision. The work He has prepared for you will emerge naturally from a life lived in that trust. May you find that His power is perfected in your weakness this very day, and may His word become your strength and your portion.
