Dear Lord, I thank you for this life that you have given me. You have been merciful to me ever since the day I was born till now and Lord I have often looked away from you, and so many times I fell under Satan's traps and sadly I didn't consult you and ended up sinning. Father, I ask for your forgiveness over all my sins. Purge me in the blood of Jesus that all my iniquity may be washed off, that I may be made whole again. Today I intend to receive Christ as Lord and Savior and I pray that my life may be changed from then. I am entering a new phase in my life where I need to build maturity in all areas considering how childish I have been for a while now.
Father, I come to you today with several petitions, of the few areas that I would like to ask you to deal with specifically, this evening. Though Lord, I may have put some things up according to what suits my thinking, but you know what is best for me and what to give at the right time.
Lord, I pray for my physical health, keep me free from diseases and infirmity and make me always ready and active to carry out the responsibilities you have set before me. I have a few cases that bother me when it comes to health: I have athlete's foot, a painful state at the periphery of my lower jaws, bleeding gums, low or zero level of male potency. Lord, I pray for your healing hand to touch me and build me into a healthy person free of these conditions. Please heal me, I will do my best to take care of my health.
Lord, I also pray for intellectual matters. I have recently been admitted in the MD program at ###. Lord, it is probably the hardest course ever taken in the world and Lord, it kind of caught me unprepared. I pray that you give me a super memory, one that is able to remember all things with the highest degree of accuracy. We have classes like anatomy where it is all about memorizing a lot of structures up to 10,000. I have never been the best at memorizing but Lord, I intend to give it my best shot and do my best, but Lord, if you take care of the rest then I should be fine. In conjunction with that, I pray for superb understanding while I am going through the course, give me understanding especially in the remaining subjects so that I may succeed all for your glory. Lord, I pray for growth in creativity and inventiveness so that I may be able to use the skills I acquire in various ways to help the society out there. I also pray for speed and versatility so that I may be able to cover the required materials in the required time. Lord, there are many things that this course promises, it promises success once you are able to manage it and acquire a credible degree along with it, it may lead to mental stress, confusion, and personality disorders if one goes into it unguided. Lord, that is why I am seeking you now, that I may be with you throughout. I enter the university with a great reputation, people know me there and expect great things. I would like to pass and be that kind of student whom getting an A is not a problem for all five years. Though my dream is to score the impossible, I am determined to be humble and take things step by step, to grow until I reach greatness in my field. Lord, please give me strength and ability to get by.
I also pray for my social life, help me have a good rapport with my family, classmates, lecturers, patients, and influence the society positively.
Lord, I pray that you help me find the right person to be my wife and mother of my children. There are many young ladies out there who are misled by the current social beliefs and finding the right one would be very hard, thus I ask you to take care of the matter and help me find the right person at the right time.
Help me acquire all the necessary knowledge I need to get by with the present society.
Lord, help me acquire 100% full-time positive mentality, humility, and hard work and diligence. Work six days a week and honor your Holy Sabbath.
Help me have more confidence and trust you 100%. I want to be courageous, hopeful, and filled with faith. Help the years go by that I may complete the course early and do other things. Help our family grow in you and trust you more, give my mum calmness and composure and many years to live and guide us. Help my little sister with her exams as well. Lord, we trust in your will completely. We are not at where we are by mistake but it was predestined and ordained before generations, thus we pray for your help to get by and emerge as victors. We pray for your will to be perfected through us for glory and honor to your name. In Jesus' name. Amen.
