We come before the throne of grace with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting up this precious unborn daughter to our Heavenly Father, who knit her together in her mother’s womb and knows every detail of her life before a single day has passed. The conditions listed—clubbed feet, heart abnormalities, edema, ascites, enlarged lungs, brain irregularities, and offset ears—are deeply concerning, but we serve a God who is the Great Physician, the Creator of all things, and the One who holds the power of life and healing in His hands. There is nothing too difficult for Him, and we stand in faith on His promises, knowing that He hears the cries of His children and acts according to His perfect will.
The Scriptures remind us in Jeremiah 1:5, *"Before I formed you in the belly, I knew you. Before you came out of the womb, I sanctified you."* This little girl is fearfully and wonderfully made by God, and her life has purpose and value in His eyes. We also cling to the words of Jesus in Matthew 19:14, where He said, *"Let the little children come to me, and don’t hinder them; for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these."* Her life is precious to Him, and we trust that He will work mightily in her situation, whether through miraculous healing, strength for the journey ahead, or the peace that surpasses all understanding for her parents.
We also remember the story of the woman with the issue of blood in Mark 5:25-34, who suffered for twelve years before touching the hem of Jesus’ garment and being made whole. Jesus said to her, *"Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be cured of your disease."* We pray for that same kind of faith—for the parents, the medical team, and all who are interceding—that they would trust in the Lord’s sovereignty and goodness, even in the midst of uncertainty.
At the same time, we recognize that healing may not always come in the way we hope or expect. Job 13:15 declares, *"Though he slay me, yet I will trust in him."* Our trust in God is not based on outcomes but on His character. He is good, He is faithful, and His ways are higher than ours. If this little girl’s journey is one of suffering, we pray that God would use it to bring glory to His name, to draw her parents and others closer to Him, and to demonstrate His grace in ways we cannot yet see. Romans 8:28 assures us that *"all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."*
We also want to encourage the parents to lean on the Lord with all their hearts. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* This is a time to surrender fears, anxieties, and the desire for control to the Lord, who loves this child even more than they do. Psalm 34:18 reminds us that *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* He is close to them in this moment, and He will carry them through.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this precious unborn daughter to Your throne of grace. Lord, You are the Giver of life, the Author of all healing, and the One who holds the universe in Your hands. We ask that You would touch this little girl’s body and bring restoration where there is brokenness. Lord, You formed her in her mother’s womb, and every part of her—her feet, her heart, her lungs, her brain, her ears—is known to You. We pray that You would knit her together perfectly, that You would correct what is abnormal, and that You would bring healing to every part of her body that is not as You designed it to be.
Father, we ask for wisdom and skill for the medical team caring for her and her mother. Guide their hands, give them insight, and let them be instruments of Your healing power. We pray for supernatural peace for the parents, that they would not be overwhelmed by fear but would rest in Your promises. Comfort them, Lord, and remind them that You are with them every step of this journey. Strengthen their faith, and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way.
Lord, we do not know Your perfect plan for this little girl’s life, but we trust You. If it is Your will to heal her completely in the womb, we praise You for that miracle. If her journey is one of struggle, we ask that You would use it to bring glory to Your name and to draw many to Yourself. Let her life, no matter how long or short, be a testament to Your goodness and love.
We rebuked any spirit of fear, doubt, or despair that may try to take hold of the parents’ hearts. Satan is a liar and the father of lies, and we declare that he has no place in this situation. We stand on the truth of Your Word, which says in 2 Timothy 1:7, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* Fill this family with Your peace, Your hope, and Your joy, even in the midst of this trial.
Father, we also pray for the salvation of every person involved in this situation. If there is anyone who does not yet know You as their Lord and Savior, we ask that You would draw them to Yourself. Let this trial be a turning point where hearts are surrendered to You, where lives are transformed by Your grace, and where Your name is lifted high.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We thank You for Your love, Your faithfulness, and Your power. We trust in You, and we give You all the glory, honor, and praise. In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
To the parents, we want to leave you with this encouragement: *"Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* (Isaiah 41:10). Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep holding on to the One who holds you in the palm of His hand. He will never leave you nor forsake you. May the Lord bless you and keep you, and may His face shine upon you and give you peace.
