Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Your plea for a miracle rises from the very depths of parental love, a love that God Himself has planted within you. You say that with God all things are possible, and you speak truly. He who formed the heavens from nothing and commanded the light to shine out of darkness can certainly command these cells to form aright. But pause and consider what manner of miracle you seek. For the power of God is not shown only in reversing what medicine declares, but far more in the enduring of what He permits. Do not be so fixed upon one kind of marvel that you miss the far greater work He may be doing in your souls.

Recall, I have often said that a life which shines with endurance firmer than adamant is a greater wonder than healing the sick. John the Baptist did no miracle, yet he drew all Judea to himself. Job worked no sign before the devil, yet his patience stunned the adversary. Do you understand? The care of practice and the love of virtue are greater than the gifts of healing. Do not imagine that your faith hinges upon this single outcome. If He grants the healing, it is a mercy you will receive with thanksgiving. But if He does not grant what you ask, though He is able, He is doing something more astonishing still. He is forging in you a trust that does not depend upon sight, a faith that does not wither in the soil of sorrow.

You must now, both of you, become like the disciples who, even when Paul was in chains, waxed the more confident. Your true miracle is not yet proven by a medical report; it is proven in the quiet chamber of your prayer, when you rise from your knees and still say, “Blessed be the name of the Lord.” The world watches to see if you will love God only for His benefits. Show them a love that clings to Him in the tempest.

Therefore, pray without ceasing. Let the church pray with you, for He has compassion on the multitudes and will not send you away fasting. But as you pray, prepare your hearts to receive His answer, whatever form it takes. Do not grieve if you have not the gift of healing you desired, for He gives you the greater gift: the occasion to display a faith that does not need a sign to be steadfast. This is the beginning of wonders in your household, not merely the mending of the body, but the perfecting of your souls.

You have asked us to pray for a miracle for your unborn baby, and we are doing that with you. You are not being too bold. With God, all things are possible.

The medical report may say impossible, but when God enters the picture, impossible has to be set aside. Abraham believed God when the promise of a child was beyond all natural hope, and God counted that faith to him as righteousness. God has not changed. The One who formed this little one in the womb is still able to do what medicine cannot do.

Do not be ashamed if your faith rises and falls. Even strong believers have weak moments. Keep asking Jesus to increase your faith, as the disciples did. You do not need a huge emotional surge. A living faith the size of a mustard seed is enough, because the power is in Jesus, not in the size of your grip.

There is a difference between saying God can and trusting God will. Many people stay passive, saying only that God is able. I am asking the Lord to give you an active, simple trust that He is at work right now in this pregnancy, not only on the day of the next appointment. The woman who reached out to touch the hem of Jesus turned her faith into action, and she was healed. Let your prayers be that reaching out.

Faith and fear cannot share the same room. When fear comes, turn it into prayer. When Peter looked at the wind and the waves, he began to sink, but Jesus was near and lifted him. Keep your eyes on Jesus, not only on the diagnosis or the statistics. Cry out to Him in the hard moments, and He will meet you.

I will not tell you that enough faith always removes every suffering, because Scripture shows faithful people who walked through very hard things. Faith is not a formula. But I will tell you that God is good, He hears you, and He loves your baby perfectly. Ask Him for the specific gift of faith for this situation.

We are praying for a miracle. We are asking God to heal your baby completely and to give you a report at the next appointment that can only be explained by His hand. We are also praying for peace for you and your wife, for patience in the waiting, and for your hearts to be anchored in Jesus no matter what the report says.

Father, we bring this unborn child before you now. You are the giver of life, and nothing is too hard for you. We ask for a miracle. We ask for healing and for a healthy report. Give this father and mother your peace, strengthen their faith, and help them walk through these days with their eyes fixed on Jesus. We ask in Jesus' name. Amen.
