No doubt at all. People realized that Gods faithfulness through the ages past and the ages to come He will be faithful to all His dear children. Isaac Watts in 1719 wrote the following song.
Oh God our help in ages past. How true, God has been helping all His prophets and faithful servants throughout the ages.
Our hope for years to come. We do not know what the future will bring. But God knows everything. Rest in His mighty arms today.
Our shelter from the stormy blast. He will protect us when we serve Him.
And our eternal home. Yes, we are heading to heaven above to be with Him for ever and ever.
