Sickness might be a Consequence of the "Fall" and Global Sin, Personal or Familial Sin, a divine discipline, testing faith, or revealing God's glory, bringing us to rely on His strength over our own.

1 Corinthians 15:57:
“But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!”

victory over our sin, death and hell

The biblical encouragement to speak Jesus' name and stand in the authority of his victory—rather than fighting to get healing—implies a shift from a defensive, fearful posture to a Confrontational Truth, faith-based position. It is grounded in the belief that Jesus’ sacrifice (1 Peter 2:24) already provided total victory over sickness, making healing a "finished work" that we, us believers are to appropriate rather than a goal we must fight to earn. It involves declaring: "I am not fighting to get healed; I am standing in the healing that Jesus bought for me."

1 Timothy 6:7 "I came to this world with nothing, and I leave with nothing but love. Everything else is just borrowed. Essentially, it is a reminder that only love and good deeds are lasting, while physical or material possessions are only temporary.

We will leave good memories or lessons unto others if we have shared the love Christ has given unto us, as being redeemed by Jesus' sacrificial and unselfish love.

1 Peter 2:24:
"He himself bore our sins" in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; "by his wounds you have been healed."

Our focus: in oneness with Christ that will produce a healthy, functioning spiritual life to serve His kingdom.

Isaiah 38:5:
“Go and tell Hezekiah, ‘This is what the LORD, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will add fifteen years to your life.

This verse encourages us believers to trust in God’s mercy and power, knowing that He listens and responds to our prayers.

Prayer for Hebrews 7:25:
“Therefore He is always able to save those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to intercede for them.”

Praying through Hebrews 7:25: Our prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Son Who has saved and sanctified us to the uttermost and is daily interceding for us. Praise Your wonderful name. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

We hear your heart’s cry for oneness with Christ and the desire to walk in the fullness of His victory over sin, sickness, and death. Your focus on standing in the authority of Jesus’ finished work is a powerful reminder that healing is not something we must earn but something we receive by faith in His sacrifice. The scriptures you’ve shared—1 Corinthians 15:57, 1 Peter 2:24, and Hebrews 7:25—declare the truth of Christ’s triumph and our position in Him. We stand with you in agreement, declaring that by His wounds, we *are* healed, and that His intercession secures our victory.

Yet, we must also acknowledge the tension that exists in the reality of suffering. Sickness may indeed be a consequence of the Fall, a discipline from the Lord, a test of faith, or an opportunity for God’s glory to be revealed. But let us never forget that even in the midst of affliction, our posture should be one of trust—not in our own strength, but in His sovereignty. The story of Hezekiah in Isaiah 38 reminds us that God hears our prayers and sees our tears, yet His ways are higher than ours. We do not always understand why healing is delayed or denied in this life, but we trust that His purposes are perfect.

We rebuke the lie that declares healing is not already ours in Christ. The enemy would have us doubt the power of the cross, but we stand firm on the truth that Jesus bore our sins *and* our sicknesses. However, we also rebuke the pride that would demand healing on our own terms, as if God’s will must bend to our desires. True faith is not about declaring what we want but surrendering to what He has already provided—and trusting Him when the answer is not what we hoped for.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Name above every name. We thank You for the victory You have already won over sin, sickness, and death. We declare that by His stripes, we *are* healed, and we stand in the authority of His finished work. Lord, we ask that You would strengthen our faith to walk in this truth, not wavering in doubt but standing firm in confidence that You are good and Your promises are yes and amen.

Father, for those who are sick or suffering, we ask for Your healing touch. Where healing is delayed, grant patience and perseverance. Where the answer is not what we desire, give us the grace to trust in Your higher purposes. Remind us that our lives are but a vapor, and what truly matters is the love we share and the legacy of faith we leave behind. May we live in such a way that others see Christ in us, even in our weakness.

We also pray for those who may be struggling with sin—whether personal, familial, or generational—that they would repent and turn to You. Cleanse them by the blood of Jesus and break every chain that binds them. Let them walk in the freedom that is theirs in Christ.

Lord, we thank You that Jesus ever lives to intercede for us. We rest in the knowledge that He is praying for us even now, and that nothing can separate us from Your love. May we live each day in the power of His resurrection, serving Your kingdom with joy and purpose. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to continue standing on the Word, but also to remain sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s leading. There may be times when God calls us to wait, to endure, or to grow through suffering. In those moments, let us remember that our ultimate healing is not just physical but spiritual—eternal life in Christ, where there will be no more pain, no more tears, and no more sickness. Until then, let us walk in love, humility, and dependence on Him.

We echo your heart's cry for oneness with Christ and the desire to walk in the fullness of His victory over sin, sickness, and death. Your focus on standing in the authority of Jesus' finished work is indeed powerful. It reminds us that healing is not something we must earn but something we receive by faith in His sacrifice.

We are reminded of Paul's words in Romans 5:3-4, "Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope." Even in the midst of affliction, we can find hope and trust in God's sovereignty.

Let's pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus. We thank You for the victory He has already won over sin, sickness, and death. We declare that by His stripes, we are healed, and we stand in the authority of His finished work.

Lord, we lift up those who are sick or suffering. We ask for Your healing touch upon them. Where healing is delayed, grant them patience and perseverance. Where the answer is not what we desire, give us the grace to trust in Your higher purposes.

Remind us, Lord, that our lives are but a vapor, and what truly matters is the love we share and the legacy of faith we leave behind. May we live in such a way that others see Christ in us, even in our weakness.

We also pray for those struggling with sin, that they would repent and turn to You.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
