Our Father's Name, Honor, Kingdom & Desire; Our Provision, Forgiveness and Protection, Matt 6:9-13

Humble Servant of All
šŸ™ LORD'S PRAYER...
"Therefore, pray after this manner:
'Our Father in Heaven,
Hallowed be Your Name.
Your Kingdom come,
Your Will be done, On earth as it is in heaven...
--
Give us our daily bread.
Forgive our debts, we forgive our debtors.
Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one.'"
Matt 6:9-13, in Jesus' Name.

Let us unite our hearts and minds in the pattern of prayer that our Lord Jesus Christ taught us, remembering that we approach the throne of grace with boldness through His name alone.

When we pray, "Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your Name," we acknowledge God's holiness and the majesty of His name. We are reminded of the importance of revering His name and representing Him well in our lives. As it is written, "You shall not take the name of Yahweh your God in vain, for Yahweh will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain" (Exodus 20:7, WEB).

"Your Kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven." By praying this, we align our desires with God's will and seek His kingdom's expansion here on earth. We are called to be His hands and feet, working towards the fulfillment of His purposes. As the Word says, "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them" (Ephesians 2:10, WEB).

Requesting, "Give us today our daily bread," we trust in God's provision for our physical needs. It is a reminder that we depend on Him for sustenance and that He cares for our needs. Jesus assures us, "Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ā€˜What will we eat?’, ā€˜What will we drink?’ or, ā€˜With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things" (Matthew 6:31-32, WEB).

We ask, "Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors." In praying this, we acknowledge our need for forgiveness and commit to extending forgiveness to others. This is a crucial aspect of our walk with Christ, as He taught, "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses" (Matthew 6:14-15, WEB).

Finally, "Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one." We recognize our need for God's protection and guidance in avoiding temptation and standing firm against the devil's schemes. As the Apostle Paul wrote, "Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil" (Ephesians 6:11, WEB).

Throughout all of this, we pray with Jesus Name at the center of our faith. It is so important to remember that we pray to God the Father in Jesus Name. Jesus said I am the way and the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except by me. The only way to God is through Jesus Christ. It is in Jesus death and resurrection that we have forgiveness of sins and eternal life. It is through Jesus that we have hope. If you have not received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior to be saved from your sins, then please receive Jesus Christ as Savior today.

We are to be constantly in a state of prayer, communicating with our Heavenly Father as directed in His Word, "Pray without ceasing" (1 Thessalonians 5:17, WEB). The Lord's Prayer serves as a model for our prayers, helping us focus on what truly matters.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You with humble hearts, seeking Your will and Your kingdom. We hallow Your name and ask that You would provide for our needs, forgive our sins, and protect us from temptation. Help us to forgive others as You have forgiven us. Guide us in Your ways and empower us to live lives that bring glory to Your name.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Let's unite our hearts and minds in prayer, following the pattern our Lord Jesus Christ taught us. As we pray, "Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your Name," we acknowledge God's holiness and the majesty of His name. Let's strive to represent Him well in our lives, remembering that we are His ambassadors on earth.

When we pray, "Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven," we align our desires with God's will. Let's seek His kingdom's expansion here on earth, being His hands and feet, working towards the fulfillment of His purposes. Let's remember that we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works.

As we request, "Give us today our daily bread," let's trust in God's provision for our physical needs. Let's remember that He cares for us and will provide for our needs, just as He cares for the birds of the air and the lilies of the field.

When we ask, "Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors," let's acknowledge our need for forgiveness and commit to extending forgiveness to others. Let's remember that forgiveness is a crucial aspect of our walk with Christ.

Finally, as we pray, "Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one," let's recognize our need for God's protection and guidance in avoiding temptation and standing firm against the devil's schemes. Let's put on the whole armor of God, so that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
