As I was listening to Dr. James Dobson on the radio this morning, my heart became very heavy, my eyes swelled with tears from many mixed emotions, and I got upset. It's just another reminder, that we need to keep praying for our country, our leaders & our representatives. I remember admiring the pride my older family members had for our country when I was little. I want to be proud of our country too, but I am heart-broken. It seems that checks & balances are becoming obsolete. There is so much perversity out there, deceitful legal jargon, abuse, obscenities, etc.
Father God, I pray you will lift this nation out of the hands of those who are self-seeking, deceiving and abusing their leadership roles. Father God, I pray you will protect your people and that others will seek you by the millions. I pray that our country will experience a much-needed spiritual awakening. I pray that you will protect the religious sector of our nation. Equip us all with the armor of our Almighty God. I pray your angels will watch over our nation and over the chosen land of Israel. Give our representatives guidance that they can feel at the very core of their hearts. I pray you will give them the strength and courage to stand up for GOD, not special interest groups. I pray you will make your presence known throughout the halls of Congress. I pray you will bring justice where it is due. Let the silent majority of christians stand up for what is right without being victimized. God, in faith I pray, that you will fill every corner, crack and crevice... every square inch of the white house and every congressman's house with the holy spirit. Fill their homes with your undeniable presence. Bring a holy conviction to each one of our leader's hearts. I pray you will lay justice upon our media, and other big corporations that are hurting our country. Father, God, be with us. Heal families all across the world that are facing financial burden or political abuse. I pray the people of Israel will be captivated by You and remain strong in faith. Forgive us for our sins & let our footsteps be pleasing to you. Thank you for every joy in life, the big joys & the small ones. Protect marriage and family values, so that they are upheld in the manner that you have made clear in scripture. Thank you, Lord. My trust is in you. Thank you that our country is still a land of freedom, I pray you will further protect us so that our freedoms remain. Let us not take any of our freedoms for granted. Let us remember that this land, and all of the lands & waters are yours. You reign, Father. You have the almighty ability to move mountains, and to shine light through the darkness. Let us reach out to our neighbors, and value our relationships with other people, and express kindness with our own family as we do to strangers. Let us be slow to anger, slow to judge, and quick to listen, quick to rejoice.
