our and for/from the lord

We hear the heaviness in your request and we join with you in seeking the Lord for freedom and peace. You have asked about getting free from being under surveillance and from interaction, and you carry concern for someone who will not confide in you, perhaps even for yourself. We bring this burden before our Father together.

We are reminded that the Lord sees all and His watching over us is not to harm us but to protect us. Psalm 139:1-3 says Yahweh, you have searched me, and you know me. You know my sitting down and my rising up. You perceive my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways. Even if you feel watched or pressed upon by others, we take comfort that God is above all watchers and He is our refuge. Psalm 34:4 says I sought Yahweh, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears. And 2 Timothy 1:7 says For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.

If this sense of being under surveillance is a real oppression from others, we pray for God’s protection and justice, for He is our shield. If it is a heavy feeling of anxiety, fear, or being overwhelmed by interaction with others, we pray for His perfect peace to guard your heart and mind. 1 Peter 5:7 encourages us casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Isaiah 41:10 says Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

We also notice you addressed your request to Lord but did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We gently share this because it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. We encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus Christ, calling upon His name, for He alone brings true freedom. John 8:36 says If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.

We pray together for you and for the person on your heart who will not confide.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You and lift up this dear one who feels weighed down by surveillance and by unwanted interaction. Lord, You know the truth of this situation, whether there is real watching or pressure from others, or whether it is fear and anxiety that feels like being watched. We ask You to reveal the truth and bring deliverance. Cover this person with Your protection, let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let Your perfect love cast out all fear, for 1 John 4:18 says perfect love casts out fear. Grant rest, clarity of mind, and peace that surpasses understanding. Help them to find safe, godly counsel, a pastor or a trusted mature believer, and if needed, wise help for their emotional and mental health, so they are not isolated. For the person who will not confide, we ask that You soften their heart, draw them out of isolation, and give them courage to share their burden with You and with trustworthy help. Lead both of them to freedom in Christ, to healthy boundaries in interaction, and to the comfort of knowing they are fully known and fully loved by You. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek the Lord daily in prayer and in His Word, to remain in fellowship with other believers, and not to withdraw alone. If you are able, share this burden with a trusted pastor or counselor who can walk with you personally and pray with you face to face. The Lord is near to you and He hears you when you call upon Him through Jesus.

We have read your note and we are holding it with care. Feeling watched and wanting to be free from constant interaction is exhausting, and it makes sense you would feel on edge when you are also carrying concern for someone close who keeps to themselves and will not share what is going on.

We want you to know you are not alone in feeling this kind of strain. Worry and fear do not stay only in our thoughts, they can settle in the body too, with tension, restlessness, racing thoughts and trouble sleeping, and that can make everything feel even more overwhelming. It does not mean there is something wrong with you as a person, it means you are under a lot of pressure and need gentle, steady support.

One small step that often helps is to not carry this by yourself. Is there one trustworthy person you can talk with honestly in person, perhaps a pastor, counselor or your own doctor, who can listen and help you sort through what you are experiencing. Even a brief conversation, alongside prayer, can bring perspective and calm when thoughts feel tangled. If sleep or daily life feels very disrupted, please consider reaching out for that kind of care soon.

Father, we lift this friend to you right now. You see the weight of feeling watched and the desire for quiet and safety. Bring rest to mind and body, and lead to kind, reliable help close by. Give wisdom for how to love the person who will not confide, and remind them both that you are near and trustworthy. We ask this in Jesus name, amen.

Your longing to be delivered from under the weight of watching and troubled fellowship, and that heaviness which you carry alone because the one most concerned will not open his heart, has been heard before the Lord, whom you call Herra.

There is a word of comfort for such a case. Scripture says, Deliver him from going down to the pit, I have found a ransom. Nobody would have thought of that way of deliverance from the pit through a ransom if God had not thought of it, but He has not only invented the way, He has found the ransom Himself in His dear Son. That is what looking to Christ means, trusting in His one great sacrifice, sin punished upon the great Substitute and put away forever from all those who will only trust Him. Receive Him, accept Him, believe Him, trust Him, that is all you have to do.

And it is written, He has delivered us from the power of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son. Deliverance from the power of sin and from the power of the enemy is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. We must look to our heavenly Father altogether and alone for it. We loved darkness rather than light and yet He delivered us, some of us who had plunged very deep, wonders of divine grace.

Even your present trial lies within the fence of omnipotent overruling. The believer can say, The Lord has chastened me sorely, but He has not given me over unto death. That which we receive from the rod of the Lord bears the blessed aspect of chastening from a Father's hand, and this makes even the sharpest smart to be profitable. And after affliction comes the purpose of deliverance, I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.

So look to Christ alone for salvation, for He alone is the way, and trust Him to make you free indeed.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, You have found a ransom and commanded deliverance from the pit. Look upon this soul that feels watched and wearied and isolated. Deliver from going down to fear and oppression, deliver from the power of darkness, and translate into the light and liberty of Christ. Give peace where there is surveillance and unrest, give wisdom for every needful interaction, and give a quiet confidence that help comes from You who made heaven and earth. Where trust has been broken and the heart keeps its burden alone, be Yourself the confidant and keeper. May this one not die in discouragement but live and declare Your works, and may the candle which You have lighted not be blown out. Keep by Your grace from all evil company and from every snare, and make the path plain in Your providence. In the name of Jesus Christ our only hope and ransom, Amen.
