We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for healing from osteoarthritis pain and inflammation. We know that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and it grieves us when they are afflicted with sickness and pain. Father, we ask that You would stretch forth Your healing hand upon this dear one, bringing relief and restoration to their joints and bones.
Your Word tells us in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases." We claim this promise today, believing that You are the Great Physician who can heal all manner of sickness and disease. We also remember James 5:14-15, which says, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." We stand on this scripture, trusting that the prayer of faith will bring healing.
Lord, we ask that You would reduce the inflammation and pain in their body. Grant them strength and endurance to face each day, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We also pray for wisdom for their doctors and healthcare providers, that they may offer the best possible care and treatment.
We rebuke the spirit of infirmity in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is written in Luke 13:16, "Ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham whom Satan had bound eighteen long years, be freed from this bondage on the Sabbath day?" Just as Jesus loosed this woman from her bondage, we declare freedom from pain and inflammation for this dear one.
We also encourage this beloved child of God to seek You daily, to meditate on Your Word, and to maintain a posture of thanksgiving and praise, even in the midst of pain. For we know that a heart of gratitude can bring healing and wholeness, as it says in Proverbs 17:22, "A cheerful heart makes good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones."
Heavenly Father, we ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We believe that by His stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we receive that healing today. Strengthen this dear one's faith, and let them experience Your healing touch in a mighty way. We love You, Lord, and we trust in Your unfailing love and mercy. Amen.
