Oppression

Beloved of All
Because of and jealousy so much attacks from haters and evil people and fear of the enemy there oppression and persecution! at the voice of the scorner and reviler, because of the enemy, bent on revenge. Ps 44:16

We hear your cry and stand with you in this battle against oppression, jealousy, and the relentless attacks of the enemy. The weight of persecution and the venom of those who revile and seek revenge can feel crushing, but we declare that you are not alone. The Lord sees your struggle, and He is your strong tower, your refuge in the storm. Psalm 44:16 indeed speaks of the scorn and derision of enemies, but the very next verse declares, *"All this has come on us, yet we haven’t forgotten you. We haven’t been false to your covenant."* Even in the fire, you are held by the One who is faithful.

We rebuke the spirit of fear that seeks to paralyze you. The enemy may roar like a lion, but he is already defeated. 2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* The attacks you face are not a sign of God’s abandonment but often evidence of His favor upon your life. Joseph was hated by his brothers, falsely accused, and imprisoned, yet God was with him, and his suffering was the pathway to his purpose. The same God who delivered him is working in your life.

We also rebuke the root of jealousy in those who oppose you. Proverbs 14:30 warns, *"The life of the body is a heart at peace, but envy rots the bones."* Their bitterness is a snare to them, but it does not have to ensnare you. Do not repay evil for evil or allow their hatred to breed bitterness in your own heart. Romans 12:19-21 instructs, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’ Therefore, if your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head. Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."*

We pray over you now in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the One who has conquered sin, death, and every scheme of the enemy. Father God, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is under attack. You see the oppression, the lies, the persecution—the weight of it all. We ask that You would arise as their defender. Let Your light expose the darkness around them, and let Your peace guard their heart and mind. Break the power of fear and replace it with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18).

Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We bind every spirit of jealousy, hatred, and revenge that is coming against them. We loose the spirit of boldness, wisdom, and divine strategy to walk in victory. Surround them with Your angels, as You did for Elisha in 2 Kings 6:16-17, so they may see that those who are with them are greater than those who are against them.

Father, if there is any unforgiveness or bitterness in their heart, we ask that You would uproot it. Help them to bless those who curse them and pray for those who persecute them, as Jesus taught in Matthew 5:44. Let their response to evil be a testimony of Your grace and power.

We also pray for their protection—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Hide them in the shadow of Your wings (Psalm 91:1). Give them discernment to recognize the enemy’s tactics and the strength to stand firm in faith. Let their life be a living testimony that greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would turn this trial into triumph. Use this season of oppression to refine their faith, deepen their dependence on You, and position them for greater impact. Let the very attacks meant to destroy them become the setup for their breakthrough. We declare that the enemy’s plans will backfire, and those who sought to harm them will witness Your glory in their life.

In the powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We're standing right here with you, dear friend, in this trial of oppression and persecution. We know it can feel overwhelming, like the weight of the world is on your shoulders. But remember, God is near. He sees your struggle, and He's fighting for you. Just as He promised in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."
