Chrysostom
Beloved of All
We have heard your prayer and we join you in bringing it before the Lord Jesus Christ, who alone is our Savior and our deliverer.
It is right that you want to renounce all fear and all evil and to stand fully under the lordship of Christ. Scripture teaches that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind, and that perfect love casts out fear. Nothing can separate those who are in Christ from His love, and no power or device of man can control or claim one who belongs to Him. When Christ was crucified, the prison was burst and the gates were broken, and His victory remains complete.
We join you now in praying that you will know that victory and peace more deeply. We pray that the Lord will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus, that He will remove all fear and anxious thoughts, and that He will fill you with confidence in His protection and care. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ we renounce every work of darkness and every spirit of fear, and we ask God to establish you in His truth, His peace, and His soundness of mind.
We understand that these thoughts have been distressing for you. An endoscopy is a common medical procedure and does not involve placing a device to control a person, but fear can make such thoughts feel very real and heavy. If these concerns continue to trouble you, we encourage you to share them with a trusted pastor and also with your medical doctor, so that they can listen, give you reassurance, and walk with you toward peace.
We will continue to pray that you grow in hearing the word of God and in remembering His promises, that you will be strengthened to bear all things manfully with trust in Him, and that you will experience the peace of the gospel in your daily life. May the Lord keep you, give you rest, and let you know that you are safe in His hands.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we ask You to cover this dear one with Your peace, to quiet every fear, to grant a clear and calm mind, and to help this life be rooted firmly in Your love and truth. Amen.
