Faithful Servant
Jim back in hospital ### university in ### I took him to appointment and she was concern about a aneurysm he has by his kidney and growing bigger ! He’s in ICU he’s going to have surgery tomorrow morning about 7 and going to take about 6 hours if not longer I just got home I’m spending the night tomorrow night with him this is from my cousin in n.c. prayers in Jesus name amen for her husband and her during this time

We have heard your request and we join together with you in lifting up ### and your cousin and their family before the throne of grace in Jesus name during this very serious time.

Our hearts are moved with concern for ### as he is in the ICU facing this major surgery for the aneurysm near his kidney tomorrow morning. We know how heavy this wait must be for your cousin as she prepares to spend the night with him and entrust him to the surgeons for a long operation. We thank God for the marriage He has ordained between a husband and wife and for the love and faithfulness that keeps her by his side in sickness and in health, and we pray that their union will be strengthened and comforted through this trial.

We take comfort in the promises of Scripture that God is sovereign over our bodies and our days and that He is present with us in trouble. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1 We are reminded not to give way to fear, for the Lord Himself upholds us. Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10 And we are called to bring every anxious thought to Him in prayer. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 He is the one who heals and restores, as He has said, But I will restore you to health, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Jeremiah 30:17

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to Your mercy and grace. We lift up ### to You and ask for Your hand to be upon him in the ICU and in the operating room tomorrow. We ask that You guide the surgeons and the entire medical team, give them wisdom, steady hands, and clarity for every decision during this long surgery. We pray that You would contain this aneurysm, protect his kidney and surrounding vessels, prevent any complication or bleeding, and grant a successful repair and complete healing. We pray for Your peace to guard ###'s heart and mind and to guard your cousin's heart as she waits and keeps vigil. Give her strength for the night ahead, rest when she is weary, and comfort in knowing You never leave nor forsake Your children. Let Your presence be felt in that hospital room and let this family feel Your love surrounding them. We ask for a smooth recovery, for restored health, and for this testimony to bring glory to You. We thank You that we can cast all our cares on You because You care for us. We ask all these things according to Your perfect will in the mighty name of Jesus, our healer and our hope, amen.

We encourage you and your cousin to continue to call upon the Lord without ceasing through the surgery and in the days of recovery to come. Keep trusting Him moment by moment, and let His peace rule in your hearts even while you wait. We are standing with you in prayer and believing God for His mercy and healing.

We're holding you and your cousin's family close tonight after reading your message. Hearing that ### is back in the hospital in ICU with an aneurysm by his kidney that has grown, and facing a long surgery early tomorrow morning, is a lot to carry, especially when you have just gotten home and are preparing to go back to stay with him.

It's understandable to feel stretched thin and worried while you wait through those hours. We are thankful you could get him to his appointment and that the doctors caught the concern and can act quickly. A six hour surgery is a long wait for everyone who loves him.

One small thing that often helps in these long hospital days is having one simple way to share updates. If your cousin is comfortable with it, you might offer to be a point person for family calls or texts tomorrow so she can stay focused on ### and rest when she can. And for yourself, try to get some real rest tonight, keep water and a phone charger nearby for the long day tomorrow, and write down any questions you and your cousin want to ask the surgical team when you can.

Father, we lift ### to You tonight in ICU and ask for Your mercy over him as he goes into surgery tomorrow morning. Guide the hands and minds of the surgeons and nurses, give Your peace to his wife and to our friend who loves them both, and keep them sustained through the waiting. Give them rest tonight and strength for tomorrow. In Jesus' name, amen.

We have heard your request and we are joining you in prayer for ### and for your cousin and all who love them in this heavy hour.

To learn that the aneurysm by his kidney has grown larger and that he is in the ICU awaiting a long surgery tomorrow morning is a great burden, and we do not take lightly the sorrow and anxious watching that comes with such a night. We are bringing ### before the Lord even now, asking for skill and steadiness for the surgeons and all who will care for him through those hours, for mercy in the operation, and for the Lord's sustaining hand upon him.

We are praying also for your cousin as she keeps vigil, and for you as you have borne them in love and now wait with them. May the promise of Scripture be very near to you all, "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You." That perfect peace is not the absence of danger but the presence of Christ, whose blood whispers peace within even when duties press and sorrows surge round. When loved ones are far away or laid in weakness, we are safe in Jesus keeping.

The Word so often says to the fearful heart, Fear not, for I am with you, I will help you. Fear weakens and dishonors the Lord who piled the heavens and sustains all things, and it is our Lord Jesus Himself who whispers, Fear not. We pray that this word will quiet your hearts tonight, that you may labor to cast fear away by trusting the promised strength of Him who has redeemed His people.

We pray too for healing according to His will. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ, and even the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ has healing virtue, and He who bore our sicknesses is able to breathe peace into the soul and to restore the body. We ask that He would touch ###, guide every hand, and grant recovery, and above all that He would draw each heart to find forgiveness and life in Him, for pardon and healing flow from the same gracious hand.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, we come through Jesus Christ alone, our only hope and Saviour. Look in mercy upon ### as he is brought to surgery. Spare his life if it be Thy will, prosper the work of the physicians, keep him through the hours of trial and bring him to recovery. Let Thy perfect peace keep his heart and the hearts of his wife and family, and let them know that whether in life or in death, Jesus has vanquished all its powers. Grant them to trust Thee fully and to feel Thy nearness in the ICU and in the waiting room. We ask this in the name of Jesus our Healer and our Peace. Amen.

We will continue to remember ### and your cousin before the Lord in the morning and in the days to come.
