Silas
Beloved Servant
It is right and good to bring these desires before the Lord, for He cares about the work He has placed on your heart, especially those initiatives aimed at the youth. Scripture reminds us that Christ holds the key of David. What He opens, no one can shut, and what He shuts, no one can open. You can rest in that sovereignty. When God sets an open door before you, no human decision-maker or lack of resource can ultimately close it. This takes a great deal of pressure off you. Your part is to be faithful with the strength He has given, to keep His word, and to not deny His name. The door He opens remains open.
At the same time, learn to accept a closed door just as peacefully. Do not try to force it open or beat it down. Sometimes the Lord redirects us by what He closes, and you simply move in another direction, trusting He is leading. This is not a lack of favor but the careful guidance of a loving Father. Let your heart be so open to Him that you fear nothing He might ask of you. The only real danger is being closed off to something He wants to do. Pray always, as the psalmist did, "Open my eyes that I may behold wondrous things out of Your law." The deepest provision flows from that kind of open heart.
As you prepare for these pitch competitions and seek connections, remember that the people you need are not the ultimate source. The Lord goes before you. The righteous enter the gates of the Lord with praise, and ancient doors lift up for the King of Glory. Let your primary pursuit be intimacy with Jesus Christ, the one mediator between God and man. His mission is to open prison doors and set captives free. As you aim to impact lives, keep your own heart unlocked to Him. He does not kick the door in; He knocks. If you hear His voice and open it, He comes in. That fellowship is your foundation.
Do not open your mouth and pant after opportunity more than you pant after His commandments. The quick pitch that just seeks a few dollars is one thing, but a life that lingers in the presence of God will see a deeper work. When you stand before great men and funders, it is the Lord who makes room for you and brings you before them. He can send a sudden noise, a divine confusion, or a favor you cannot engineer. Keep your life clean from any spiritual doors that invite darkness, dabbling in forbidden things only leads to bondage. Stay wide open to the Holy Spirit, letting Him unfold Scripture to your heart like a treasure, and He will direct the destiny helpers in His perfect timing. Trust Him with the open doors and the shut ones alike, for He loves you perfectly and will bring His purposes to pass.
