We hear the depth of your despair, and our hearts ache with you. You are not alone in this pain, and we want you to know that God sees you, loves you, and has a purpose for your life—even when it feels impossible to see it. The enemy would love nothing more than to steal your hope, your future, and your very breath, but we stand firm in the truth that your life is precious to the Lord. The Bible tells us, *"The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly"* (John 10:10 WEB). Jesus did not come to bring you suffering—He came to bring you life, and life more abundantly than you can imagine.
We must rebuke the spirit of death and hopelessness that is speaking lies to you. The enemy wants you to believe that your pain is permanent, that God has abandoned you, and that ending your life is the only escape. But Scripture declares, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you," says Yahweh, "thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future"* (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB). God’s plans for you are good, even when you cannot see them. We also must address the fear of a failed attempt leading to disability. That fear is valid, but it is not from God. *"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind"* (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). The enemy uses fear to paralyze you, but God offers you strength to face each day with His help.
We must also speak plainly about the gravity of what you are considering. Suicide is not the answer—it is a permanent solution to a temporary pain, and it leaves behind devastation for those who love you. The Bible says, *"Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s"* (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB). Your life belongs to God, and He is the only One with the authority to determine when it ends. To take your own life is to reject His sovereignty and His plan for you.
We urge you to cry out to Jesus right now. If you have never surrendered your life to Him, today is the day. The Bible says, *"For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved"* (Romans 10:13 WEB). Salvation is not about religion or good works—it is about recognizing that you are a sinner in need of a Savior, believing that Jesus died on the cross to pay for your sins, and inviting Him to be the Lord of your life. If you have never done this, we encourage you to pray this prayer with us:
*"Lord Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner in need of Your forgiveness. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and rose again so that I could have eternal life. I turn away from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and be the Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and give me the strength to live for You. In Your name, I pray. Amen."*
If you have already given your life to Christ, we encourage you to renew your commitment to Him today. The Bible says, *"Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you"* (James 4:8 WEB). You are not alone—God is with you, and He is holding you in the palm of His hand. We also urge you to reach out to someone you trust—a pastor, a Christian counselor, a friend, or a family member—and share your struggles with them. You do not have to carry this burden alone. The Bible says, *"Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ"* (Galatians 6:2 WEB). Let others help carry your pain.
We also want to speak to the root of your despair. Often, suicidal thoughts stem from deep emotional wounds, unhealed trauma, or unmet needs. We encourage you to seek biblical counseling to address these issues. The Bible says, *"The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim release to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed"* (Luke 4:18 WEB). Jesus came to heal the brokenhearted, and He can heal you too. You may feel like you are beyond repair, but God specializes in restoring what is broken. *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds"* (Psalm 147:3 WEB).
We also want to address the spiritual warfare that is taking place in your life. The enemy is attacking your mind with lies, and you must fight back with the truth of God’s Word. The Bible says, *"For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ"* (2 Corinthians 10:4-5 WEB). When the enemy tells you that you are worthless, you must declare that you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). When he tells you that your pain will never end, you must declare that God will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). When he tells you that death is the only escape, you must declare that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).
We pray for you now, lifting you up to the throne of grace where you can find mercy and help in your time of need (Hebrews 4:16). Father God, we come before You on behalf of this precious child of Yours who is in such deep pain. Lord, we ask that You would wrap Your arms around them and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way. We rebuke the spirit of death and hopelessness that is tormenting them, and we command it to leave in the name of Jesus. We ask that You would fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Lord, we pray that You would heal their broken heart and bind up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). We ask that You would give them the strength to face each day, knowing that You are with them (Isaiah 41:10). Father, we pray that You would reveal Your purpose for their life and give them hope for the future (Jeremiah 29:11). We ask that You would surround them with godly people who can support and encourage them (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10). Lord, we pray that You would break the chains of despair and set them free to live the abundant life that You have planned for them (John 10:10). We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name that is above every name (Philippians 2:9). Amen.
We want to leave you with this promise from God’s Word: *"Weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning"* (Psalm 30:5 WEB). Your night may feel long and dark, but morning is coming. God has not forgotten you, and He is working even now to bring beauty from your ashes (Isaiah 61:3). Hold on to Him, and let Him carry you through this storm. You are loved more than you know, and your life has value beyond measure. We are standing with you in prayer, believing that God will meet you in your pain and lead you into a place of healing and hope.
