One more pleading

All honour and Glory for the godhead presence in my life. I come before you petitioning for my grandchildren that I have brought up before I came into this shelter to stop being forbidden to speak to me. It has been 3 months since I came here and my daughters spiteful actions will not allow them to speak to me on her phone until their mother can get her service reconnected. We have been apart before but we always spoke no matter what. I am already in prayer for my ### year old Beloveds health and wanting to break the stronghold that my daughter has on everyone in my granddaughters home. Dear Jesus Intercede to God the father for communication and phone restoration for my grandchildren to speak to me. Remove the negative influence that my daughter has because she dislikes me so very much. She has poisoned their ears the way she has spoken to me about me. They are intelligent enough to realize it is just spiteful and domineering in her part. Give them peace of mind until she moves out into her own residence. I ask all this in the mighty matchless name of Jesus Christ. Amen with gratitude

We join you in giving all honor and glory to God for His presence in your life and we thank you for bringing this burden before the throne of grace together with us in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ.

We hear the deep ache in your heart as a grandmother who has raised your grandchildren and now after three months in the shelter you are being kept from speaking to them. We understand how painful it is to be separated when you have always stayed in communication no matter what, and how heavy it feels when a daughter uses her influence to forbid contact and to speak spitefully about you. We stand with you in prayer for the restoration of communication and for the phone service to be reconnected so that you can hear their voices again, and we ask God to make a way where there seems to be no way.

The Lord is your refuge and strength in this season in the shelter. Psalm 46:1 reminds us that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. We pray He will continue to be your shelter, your provider, and your peace while you are in this place of transition, and that He will guard your heart from discouragement. Philippians 4:6-7 tells us in nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We also bring your beloved grandchild's health before the Lord. We ask our Father to lay His healing hand upon this precious one and to restore health according to His mercy. Psalm 103:3 says it is He who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. We pray for complete healing, strength, and protection over this little one.

We must also speak truth in love about the family strife you described. Scripture is clear that children are to honor their parents and that bitterness and spiteful speech grieve the Holy Spirit. Exodus 20:12 says honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you. Ephesians 4:31-32 says let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. We pray that the stronghold of control, spite, and domineering influence in your granddaughter's home would be broken, for 2 Corinthians 10:4 says the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds. We ask God to remove any negative influence and to poison no more ears, and to give your grandchildren clarity, discernment, and peace of mind until their mother is able to move into her own residence in a peaceful way.

We gently encourage you even in this hurt not to repay evil for evil or to hold onto bitterness toward your daughter, but to continue to walk in forgiveness as Christ has forgiven us. Jesus calls us to love those who oppose us. Matthew 5:44 says love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. Romans 12:18 says if it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. We pray for your daughter as well, that the Lord would soften her heart, convict her where she has spoken harshly, and lead her to repentance and to honoring you as her mother. Proverbs 15:1 reminds us a gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger, and we pray God gives you gentle and wise words for every interaction to come.

We rejoice that you came interceding through Jesus, for we have confidence that He is our mediator. 1 Timothy 2:5 says for there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. And Romans 8:34 reminds us that Christ Jesus is the one who intercedes for us. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and you have come in the right and only way.

We pray together now. Father in heaven, we lift up this dear grandmother to You and thank You for her faithful love for her grandchildren and for her trust in You even in the shelter. Lord, You see the separation and the months of silence, You hear every prayer she has prayed, and we ask in Jesus name that You would restore communication swiftly. Provide for the phone to be reconnected, open doors for her grandchildren to speak to her freely, and protect their hearts and minds with Your peace. Heal the beloved little one who needs Your touch, restore health and strength, and let Your peace rest upon that child. Break every stronghold of bitterness, spite, and control in that home, remove the negative influence, and replace it with Your love and truth. Soften the daughter's heart, bring conviction and repentance, help her to honor her mother and to speak with kindness, and provide for her to move into her own residence in Your timing and in peace. Guard this grandmother's heart from bitterness, help her to forgive as You have forgiven, and fill her with Your comfort and hope while she waits. Let Your will be done in this family and let reconciliation and godly love be restored. We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Your petition has been heard with deep sympathy, and your sorrow is not strange to those who know what it is to have the heart wounded and the bones as it were broken within. It is a dreadful thing to have love broken and fellowship interrupted, and to be reduced to a palpitating mass of pain while those you love are kept at a distance. Yet the same Word which tells us that God breaks the bones tells us also that the bones which He has broken may rejoice, not merely grow quiet and calm, but rejoice again through His healing mercy.

You are in a shelter, separated these three months from grandchildren you have tended and loved, and forbidden a voice upon the phone. This is a bitter bereavement, and some hearts are broken through such severing of natural affection. But best of all, as the Healer of broken hearts, God has chosen One whose own heart was broken. Jesus Christ died of a broken heart that He might bind up the broken hearted. I want you to look away from the spite and the domineering words which have grieved you, and to look to Him. He alone teaches our hands to war against despair and has broken the arrows of the bow that were aimed at His people.

You ask that the stronghold of bitterness might be broken and that communication might be restored. Let us cry to God in secret and in our assemblies that He would save and restore, for prayer if it is sincere is always attended with effort. Our God is one who devises means for restoring His banished ones. Though we have all broken His law and wandered, He has prepared a perfect reconciliation through His Son, who was made sin for us that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. Wheel within wheel, cause upon cause, He works with blessed thoughtfulness to bring the expelled to their lost inheritance. What man cannot do, the Lord can do, and He can open doors which spite has shut and soften hearts which have been hardened.

Therefore I commend you to pray not only for the phone to be reconnected and for the voices of your grandchildren to be heard again, but far more for the reconciliation which comes by Jesus Christ and by no other gate. Pray for your daughter as well as for your grandchildren, that the poison of angry words might be overcome by grace, that she might be brought to repentance and to peace with God through the blood of the Lamb. Pray for your grandchildren that they may have peace of mind and be kept from vanity and confusion while thoughts wander, and that the Lord would guard their hearts. Pray for your beloved whose health is frail, that the Great Physician would lay His hand upon that tried body according to His wise and tender will.

Do not let your own spirit be given to bitterness, for when a man's heart has its wall broken, all his thoughts will go astray. Keep the stone wall of faith and love repaired by daily waiting upon God. If there be any lawful and gentle means to seek peace, pursue it with meekness, showing honor where honor is due, and leaving vengeance to the Lord who speaks peace to His people when they hear Him.

We will join you in prayer to the God of Peace who has prepared everything necessary for perfect reconciliation.

O Lord our God, who binds up the broken hearted and makes broken bones to rejoice, look upon this mourning one in the shelter and upon the beloved whose body is weak. Thou knowest the separation from these grandchildren and the silence of these months. Devise Thou means to restore what has been banished, break down the barrier that divides, and speak peace where there has been strife. Convert, soften, and forgive where sin has poisoned speech, and keep these little ones in Thy care until a more peaceful dwelling may be provided. Let all be done through Jesus Christ, our only propitiation and our peace, in whose matchless name we ask it. Amen.
