After I cried that day on my phone and asked my sister to give me one more day, and she said she would, she fell asleep. When she woke up through the night Friday, she was speaking more clearly, and was more alert. Yesterday she was asking our cousin to bring a certain meal to her "tomorrow". She gave me my one day, and today is a new one, and she is still with us. Her doctor thinks she was misdiagnosed and is looking into everything today. I have literally slept away Friday night, yesterday, and last night...just exhausted. But she is doing better, more coherent, and while we still don't know what will happen, things seem better.
I give thanks to You, Lord, for hearing prayer, even unspoken ones, even ones whose words are tears. I thank You for love, forgiveness, mercy, and I thank You for loving and opening the heart of my sister as she prayed to You for salvation. I think each person You guided into her room that prayed with her, for her, over her, they each played a role in opening the door to You for her. I thank You for how clearly, how very clearly You spoke to me last night as I knelt in my bedroom alone thanking You.
Thank You, Lord, that she gave the one more day she promised, and is still with us today, another day.
