Oncologist and hematologist appointment

Aeloerhaven

Disciple of Prayer
My partner who was recently diagnosed with leukemia is having his biannual appointment today. Please pray for ### and pray with us for good results and interpretation and treatment. In Jesus name. Amen

We join with you in prayer today for your loved one as he goes to his appointments with the oncologist and hematologist. We know how heavy a leukemia diagnosis is and how much anxiety can surround each appointment, each test result, and each decision about treatment, and we bring him before the Lord with you asking for mercy, wisdom, and healing.

We are thankful you prayed in Jesus' name, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name we find hope and salvation. As it is written, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12 and Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son John 14:13.

We want to lovingly address something you mentioned as we pray for you both. You referred to him as your partner. Scripture teaches us that God designed intimate relationship and sexual union to be within the lifelong covenant of marriage between a man and a woman. Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh Genesis 2:24 and Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers Hebrews 13:4. We are also told to Flee sexual immorality 1 Corinthians 6:18. If you are a man and a woman living together or in a romantic relationship outside of marriage, we encourage you with love to consider this courtship as leading toward godly marriage that honors Christ, and to live in purity before that covenant. If this is a same sex relationship, we must gently and truthfully say that homosexuality is forbidden in Scripture and does not align with God's design for marriage, and we encourage repentance and walking in His grace and truth. We share this not to condemn but because we care for you both and want your lives and your relationship with God to be blessed and in right standing with Him.

We pray now for healing and for God's hand over every detail today. Scripture reminds us that He is the healer, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:3 and But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. We also cling to the promise that the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up James 5:15.

We pray together, Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up this dear man to You. You know his body, You formed him, and You know every cell. We ask You to guide the oncologist and hematologist today, give them clear insight as they interpret labs and scans, and grant them wisdom to recommend the right treatment with skill and compassion. We ask for good results if it be Your will, for strength for his body to respond to treatment, for peace that surpasses all understanding for both of them in this waiting, and for Your healing power to be upon him. Help them both to Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight Proverbs 3:5-6. Draw them closer to You through this trial, and if they are not yet walking in covenant marriage, lead them into Your perfect design for their lives that they may honor You in all things. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, our healer and our hope, amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek the Lord daily together in prayer and in His Word, to ask for wisdom for each medical decision, and to surround yourselves with a strong Bible believing community that can support you. God is near to those who call on Him and He is faithful even in this difficult journey.

Thank you for trusting us with this appointment day. We know how heavy these visits can feel, the waiting and hoping for clear answers and a steady plan forward.

We are praying with you today for the person you mentioned who was recently diagnosed, for wisdom for the oncology and hematology team as they review results and explain what they mean, and for clarity about treatment and next steps. We are also praying for you as you walk alongside and carry the weight of waiting.

A practical thought that often helps on appointment days like this is to bring a small notebook and write down what the doctors say in the moment, including any terms or instructions you want clarified later. It is hard to remember everything when emotions are high, and having notes makes follow up questions easier. If you are able to have another trusted person with you to listen, that can help too.

We are holding you both before the Lord and asking for His peace and strength for today and His guidance for what comes next.

Father, we lift up the one who is ill to You and ask for Your mercy and care over him. Give the doctors wisdom and clarity as they interpret results and talk through treatment, and give calm and strength to those waiting with him. Provide the support and guidance needed in the days ahead. In Jesus name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so. Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your request has been heard and we bring it before the Lord with a tender and prayerful heart.

We are grieved to learn of this heavy affliction of leukemia and of the waiting and weariness which attends such a trial. We very speedily care for bodily diseases for they are too painful to let us slumber in silence and they soon urge us to seek a physician for healing. How much more should we seek the great Physician Himself, from whom abundant streams of healing flow down to men below. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the leaves, the little things as it were about Christ, are full of healing virtue. The least thing about Christ is healing, and these healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before.

We will pray earnestly for the man of whom you have written, that the Lord in His mercy would look upon him in this time of sore affliction. We will pray for wisdom for the oncologist and hematologist, for clear interpretation of every test, and for treatment ordered aright if it be the Lord's will to grant a measure of bodily healing. We pray too that the Sun of Righteousness would rise upon him with healing in His wings, for when Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, and pardon and healing were one.

And we will pray also for you. There is no hope for any of us in ourselves, but there is hope for us in Him whom God has provided to be the Savior of such as we are. In the dust of self abasement is the place for hope, and high thoughts of God beget hope in the soul and hope leads to confidence. While Jehovah lives the mourner need not despair, for there is One who cares for you. We pray that you both may know that good hope of eternal life through believing in Jesus Christ, for He is able to heal though He be not always engaged in healing at the same measure, and the healing of the soul is His first and greatest work.

May the Lord bring you both to put your trust wholly in Jesus Christ alone for salvation, and to walk in His ways according to His Word, which teaches that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman and that His good gift is to be honored within it. We do not ask God to bless what is outside His holy ordering, but we do ask Him to bless you both with repentance, faith, forgiveness and new life, and to conform your lives to His gracious will.

So we commend you both to that mercy which pardons the humble and heals the broken hearted. O you who are now sick unto death, ask to be forgiven and healing will come from the pardoning hand. May the Lord grant you to find the life of your hand not in your own way, but in Christ, and may He give you, even this morning, not a possible hope only, but an actual and sure hope through faith in His dear Son.

We will continue in prayer that whether the report be favorable or trying, you may be kept in peace, established in the hope of your calling, and that Christ may be glorified in all things. Amen.

Thank you for sharing this burden with us and for allowing us to pray with you during this difficult time. We are sorry to hear of this leukemia diagnosis and we understand how heavy an oncology and hematology appointment can feel as you wait for results, interpretation and next steps for treatment.

We want to pray faithfully for you both as people made in God's image and deeply loved by Him. We will pray for him, for healing and strength in his body, for wisdom and clarity for his doctors as they review his labs and scans, and for peace for you as you walk with him through this. We believe God is the true physician who works through the skill of doctors and medicines, and who also restores the soul, and we do not stop asking for His mercy even when the waiting is long.

As a ministry that seeks to be faithful to Scripture, we hold to what the Bible teaches about salvation through Jesus Christ alone and about marriage as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, with sexual union and living together belonging within that covenant. Because of that, we cannot affirm or ask God to bless a relationship that is outside of that design, including living together or a sexual relationship outside of marriage. This does not change our care for you. We will pray for you both as individuals before God, asking for His grace, truth and healing in each of your lives.

We pray together now:

Father, we come to You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, who alone is our hope for forgiveness and eternal life. Have mercy on this man who is ill with leukemia. Lay Your healing hand upon him according to Your will, give his oncologist and hematologist clear insight and wisdom in interpreting every result, and guide them in any treatment that is needed. Grant him comfort in body and soul, and grant peace and strength to the one who brought this request. Draw you both to Yourself, show you Your love and truth, forgive sin through the cross of Christ, and lead you into life that is pleasing to Him. Help you to trust Jesus fully, to walk in His ways, and to seek His will for every part of life. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you both to keep seeking the Lord, to remain under faithful medical care, and to speak with a trusted pastor who can walk with you personally, teach you from Scripture, and support you through the days ahead. If you would like, we are here to continue praying for healing, for salvation, and for God to be near to you in this trial.
