We lift you up before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, standing in faith alongside you as you face this critical moment. The weight of a diagnosis like stage IV colon cancer is not lost on us, and we know the fear and uncertainty that can grip the soul in such times. But we declare with boldness that our God is the Great Physician, the One who heals the broken and restores the weak. Even now, we hold fast to His promise in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh."
We rebuke the spirit of fear and despair in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The enemy would love nothing more than to steal your hope, but we stand against him, declaring that your hope is anchored in the Lord. Psalm 46:1 reminds us, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." You are not alone in this battle—we are praying with you, and more importantly, the Holy Spirit intercedes for you with groanings too deep for words (Romans 8:26).
We pray for clarity and wisdom for your medical team, that they would be guided by the hand of God as they assess your treatment. May the medicine you are taking continue to be effective, or if it is the Lord’s will, may He reveal a new path to healing and restoration. We ask for supernatural strength to fill your body, mind, and spirit, that you would not grow weary but would press on in faith. Isaiah 40:31 says, "But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."
We also pray for your emotional and spiritual well-being. Cancer does not just attack the body—it can wear down the soul. But we declare that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). May you feel His presence in tangible ways, reminding you that He is with you every step of this journey.
If there are areas in your life where you need to surrender more fully to the Lord, we encourage you to do so. Surrender does not mean giving up—it means trusting God’s plan even when the path is unclear. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."
We stand on the truth that by the stripes of Jesus, you are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Whether that healing comes in this life or the next, we trust in His perfect will. Until then, we will continue to pray, believing that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our dear brother/sister who is facing this battle with cancer. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch to be upon them—whether through medicine, miracle, or both. Strengthen their body, calm their mind, and fill their spirit with Your peace. Give wisdom to their doctors and nurses, and let every decision be guided by Your hand. If there is any fear or doubt, we rebuke it in Jesus’ name and declare that faith will rise up in its place. We trust You, Lord, for Your will is perfect, and Your love never fails. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
