Disciple of Prayer
On 12th March 2020 while I was attending Executive Education Program, at Harvard Kenedy School, Cambridge, USA , I had a dream at night that was very vivid. Most times I don't remember my dreams but this one was very clear. I woke up to write it down. I tried to understand the dream. I could not make any meaningful interpretation. I shared it with my son. He tried to explain it (I will state his interpretation later). The dream has continued to border me because I have had instances where my dreams come through though they are mostly for other persons. In the dream, I saw myself in a forest at peak of a hill. It was like on a crest of a mountain facing a valley. The other side of the valley looked like a miaze farm. I did not see the beginning of the valley but there was deep slop along the valley not far from where I stood. The environment was generally green though not very bushy forest. The valley bellow me was a raging river like a waterfall at the steep slope of the valley. The valley was also flooded from farm side opposite me. It was huge and stormy river made from the waterfall and water rushes from the farm side. It was not like a regular river. It was as if huge rain fell at far distance and generated huge flood from all corners flowing on the farm and empting into the valley forming very rough river flowing down the valley. I climbed a tree standing next to me at the mountain peak where I was to escape, I guess. Suddenly the tree branches I was holding on started giving out as I held them. I fell with a big branch in its midst on top of the mountain top. The felled branch swept away to the valley isolating me even though I was right at the centre of it covered with smaller branches. I was untouched, not harmed and very safe. At that moment I saw my son Kenechukwu standing with me as we watching the scene. I woke up at this moment. My son interpreted the dream as follows - for the dream I feel it's just basically saying that you shouldn't worry about things that are happening or would happen. You might try to look for an escape route (I.e the branch you climbed on ) but you shouldn't worry cause it's all part of the process God wants to take you through because the only reason God will take you through a rough patch is to prepare you for something or strengthen your core in terms of virtues and beliefs. Before you embark on a journey you have to have the adequate tools required. So just have faith that at the end all will be good and learn from what happens cause that would be the only reason I would have come to tell you that you shouldn't worry. This further got me thinking. I discontinue my journey to Canadan to visit my son at school and headed home after Harvard program because of travel measures imposed by countries on corona virus.
