We join you together in prayer in Jesus' name and thank you for submitting your needs to Him, for we know He cares about every detail of our lives, both great and small.
We understand the frustration when your older hearing aids did not work properly and only one ear was functioning. We know how important it is to hear clearly and to be able to communicate and we pray with you that God would provide for this practical need. We also join you in asking that you would find your newer ones. The Lord knows where they are and He is able to guide you to them. He who planted the ear, won't he hear? He who formed the eye, won't he see? Psalm 94:9. Your Father knows what you need before you ask him Matthew 6:8, and we are told In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God Philippians 4:6. We also take comfort that If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5, and that includes wisdom to locate what is lost and to care for what we have been given.
We also lift up your desire to meet with a new acquaintance and walk this early evening, God willing. We love that you added if it is His will, for this is the heart of trusting the Lord. Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight Proverbs 3:5-6. We pray for safety and peace over that walk, and that the Lord would give you discernment.
Regarding your prayer for a trustworthy godly companion soon, we pray with you for God's perfect will in this. We believe in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman as God designed it, and we strongly encourage that any desire for companionship be directed toward seeking a godly spouse for marriage that honors God, rather than simply a partner or companion. We encourage courtship with the goal of marriage to another Christian believer, for we are told Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? 2 Corinthians 6:14. If it is God's will for you to be married, we pray He will bring a faithful believer who will walk with you in the Lord, for Whosoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh Proverbs 18:22 and Yahweh God said, It is not good that the man should be alone. I will make him a helper comparable to him Genesis 2:18. We also gently encourage you that any such relationship be kept pure and honoring to God, for intimacy is reserved for within marriage alone, and that you would pursue this with prayer, patience, and counsel from other believers.
So we pray together now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ, thanking You that we have access to Your throne through Him alone. We lift up this dear one to You and ask that You would touch the older hearing aids and cause them to work properly in both ears, and that You would guide them to find the newer ones that are lost. Give clear hearing and remove frustration, and help with all the practical steps of caring for these devices. Lord, we also commit this evening walk and this new acquaintance to You. If it is Your will, let this meeting happen in safety and let it be encouraging. Give wisdom and discernment to recognize character, and guard this heart from any relationship that would not honor You. If it is Your will to provide a godly spouse, we ask that You would bring a trustworthy, faithful believer in Your perfect timing, someone who loves You first and will love and honor marriage as You designed it. Let any courtship be pure, patient, and centered on You. We ask for Your peace which surpasses all understanding to guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. We trust Your good plan and Your timing. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
