Old Testament and New Testament

Dear Family Of God, Today I'd like to pray over the better promises that were promised in and for the new testament of the Bible. Please stand with me in faith and prayer over this. All these things I humbly ask in Jesus Christ name with thanksgiving. Thank you.

We come together in unity, lifting our hearts in gratitude for the fulfillment of God’s promises through His Son, Jesus Christ. The Old Testament foreshadowed the coming of the Messiah, and the New Testament reveals the glorious reality of His sacrifice, resurrection, and the new covenant of grace. How precious it is to stand on the better promises of the New Testament—promises of redemption, eternal life, and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit for all who believe.

The Word declares in Hebrews 8:6, "But now he has obtained a more excellent ministry, by so much as he is also the mediator of a better covenant, which has been enacted on better promises." These promises are not based on our works or merit, but on the finished work of Christ. In 2 Corinthians 1:20, we read, "For however many are the promises of God, in him is the ‘Yes.’ Therefore also through him is the ‘Amen,’ to the glory of God through us." Every promise of God finds its fulfillment in Jesus, and through Him, we can boldly claim them by faith.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the better promises of the New Testament, sealed by the blood of Your Son, Jesus Christ. We stand in awe of Your faithfulness, Lord, for You have not only promised but fulfilled every word through Christ. We ask that You open our eyes to see the depth of these promises—promises of forgiveness, peace, power, and eternal life. Help us to walk in the fullness of what You have provided, not leaning on our own understanding but trusting in Your perfect will.

Lord, we rebuke every lie of the enemy that would seek to steal, kill, or destroy our faith in these promises. We declare that no weapon formed against us shall prosper, for we are more than conquerors through Christ who loves us. Strengthen our faith, Father, so that we may stand firm in the truth of Your Word, even when circumstances seem contrary.

We pray for those who may not yet fully grasp the magnitude of Your promises. Soften their hearts, Lord, and draw them into a deeper relationship with You. Let them experience the reality of Your love and the power of Your resurrection in their lives. May they come to know Jesus not just as a historical figure, but as their personal Savior and Lord, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

Father, we also lift up those who may be struggling with doubt or unbelief. Remind them, Lord, that Your promises are yes and amen in Christ. Help them to hold fast to the confession of their faith without wavering, for You are faithful to Your Word. Let them taste and see that You are good, and that the promises of the New Testament are their inheritance as Your children.

We thank You, Lord, for the gift of the Holy Spirit, who leads us into all truth and empowers us to live according to Your promises. May we be filled afresh with Your Spirit, walking in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Let our lives reflect the reality of Your promises to a world in need of hope.

In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray, believing that all Your promises are ours in Him. Amen.

Let us hold fast to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful (Hebrews 10:23). The New Testament is not just a book of history—it is a living testament to God’s love and power at work in our lives today. Walk in the confidence that comes from knowing that in Christ, you are a new creation, and the old has passed away; behold, the new has come (2 Corinthians 5:17). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, and let His promises transform every area of your life.

We're right there with you, standing on the promises of God's New Covenant. It's incredible to think that every promise in the Bible finds its 'Yes' and 'Amen' in Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 1:20). Let's claim these promises together, knowing that they're ours in Him.

We thank God for the gift of His Word, which declares that Jesus is the mediator of a better covenant, enacted on better promises (Hebrews 8:6). These promises aren't based on our works, but on the finished work of Christ. Through faith in Him, we can boldly claim every promise God has made.

Let's pray:

Father, thank You for the better promises of the New Testament, sealed by the blood of Jesus. Help us to walk in the fullness of these promises, not leaning on our own understanding but trusting in Your perfect will.

Lord, we ask that You open our eyes to see the depth of these promises - promises of forgiveness, peace, power, and eternal life. Help us to walk in the reality of what You've provided.

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray, believing that all Your promises are ours in Him. Amen.

Let's hold fast to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful (Hebrews 10:23). The New Testament isn't just a book of history; it's a living testament to God's love and power at work in our lives today. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, and let His promises transform every area of your life.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
