Ok. Good morning all. Are we ready for this. I believe that we will all have

breakthroughs. During this time. How big and how much is up to you.

As we start our fast. I would like for each of us to write a commitment in

our journal that we commit to this two day fast. (Or longer if you feel led

to). Write what you are fasting from. And why you want to be fasting. (If you are

not fasting write a commitment to the 40 days and why. Or both)

Fasting is very personal. It is between you and God. It is not a hunger

strike to get what you want. As we know God is no Genie. It is a time to

sacrifice to God.

It is a chance to focus on our relationship with our heavenly Father.

Sometimes there are strongholds on us that can only be broken through Prayer

and fasting. (Matthew 17:21) We all have things that we personally have to

battle with daily. We have issues. All of us. And taking them to God is how

to deal with them.

So the strongholds I would like us to start our prayer time with are the

strongholds we have on ourselves. Whether it be an addiction,

unforgiving, a lack of love or empathy, whatever it is let us give it to God

today. Let us leave it at the altar.

Some of you may be saying I thought this was prayers for our marriage and

fasting for our marriage. It is. We have to present ourselves before the

Lord before we can begin to intercede for our loved ones or others.

So today our first exercise in our journal (after the fasting promise) will

be what we need to surrender to God.

I know it is hard to surrender things to God and leave them there. I fight

with it every day. I always feel I need to do something to move it along. I

have to reach out. I have to ..... Each of us fill in the blank. We have to

surrender it to God. Even if we have to do it daily.

If you do not know what you have not given totally over to God ask him to show

you. It may be unforgiveness, a bitter feeling towards the other person or

in-laws and family members. It may be a judgmental attitude that you are

right and they are wrong. It may be something you have already handed over

but unknowingly picked it back up again because of a new circumstance. It may

be anger or loneliness.

David says it best in Psalms 139:24-23 Search me, O God, and know my heart:

try me, and know my thoughts: 24 And see if there be any wicked way in me,

and lead me in the way everlasting. (KJV)

We have to continually do this.

Lastly for this Morning. Write any prayer you have for Today. Anything you

need for today. No matter how small.

Also write anything you are thankful for today and some praises to God. For

he is worthy and deserves it. Amen.

If you still have time or at some point today. Find a verse or scripture

text reading. Anything out of the Bible and read and meditate on it for a

few minutes, then write a little bit about what you got from it, how it made

you feel. Anything.

(We will do these every day).

I am glad you all are with me on this journey. God has promised us great

things as we diligently seek him with all of our hearts.

Father God as we start on this Journey to get closer to you and intercede

for our spouses. Hold us and keep us. We know that this journey will be

rough, because anytime you children move closer to you the enemy gets

jealous. Well God Satan will be getting angry with us over the next 40 day

(and longer). Build us up and cover us in the safety of your wings. Look

within us Lord and cleanse us of anything we need to surrender and give us

the endurance to fight the good Fight.

I agree I've been doing the Daniel Fast for a year now. I tried to be delivered from the spirit of necromancy 3 times without success. But since I've been doing the Daniel Fast for a year and seeking God, growing closer to Him, I got delivered from the spirit of necromancy two-and-a-half 3 months ago. This goes to prove that some demons only come out by prayer and fasting. I feel no release to stop doing the Daniel Fast. I feel like it's because I want everything out of me that's not of God, and that's why I haven't been released to stop fasting yet. Since I started doing the Daniel Fast, I've grown and leaped and bounds. I really don't even think that I can tell you how much I've grown. So if you feel like God is pressing you to keep fasting, it really is worth it.
