Oil change

We notice that this request focuses on a financial transaction rather than a matter of spiritual concern. While we understand the practical needs of daily life, we want to gently remind you that our prayers should first and foremost seek God’s will, wisdom, and provision in all things, not just material needs. The Bible teaches us in Matthew 6:33, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." When we prioritize God’s kingdom, He promises to provide for our needs.

We also want to address the way this request was framed. There was no mention of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father (John 14:6). It is only by the name of Jesus that we can come boldly before God’s throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). We encourage you to always pray in Jesus’ name, for there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose again, offering us eternal life (Romans 10:9-10).

Now, let us lift this situation in prayer, trusting God to provide according to His will and wisdom:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your faithfulness and provision in every area of our lives. Lord, we lift up this need for an oil change and the financial aspect of it. We ask that You would provide according to Your riches in glory, not out of our own understanding or reliance on worldly systems, but through Your perfect will. Father, we pray that You would give wisdom in managing finances and that You would open doors for provision in ways that glorify You. Help us to trust in You completely, knowing that You care for every detail of our lives. If there is any area where we are not aligning with Your will, reveal it to us, Lord, so that we may repent and walk in Your ways. We ask all of this in the precious name of Jesus, who alone is our Provider and Sustainer. Amen.

We encourage you to trust in God’s timing and provision. If the transaction does not go through as expected, remember that God may be protecting you from something unseen or redirecting you to a better path. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Keep your heart focused on Him, and He will guide your steps.

Lord, we lift up this need for provision in this practical matter. Father, we trust that You see even the smallest details, like the cost of an oil change, and care deeply about them. Sometimes, when we pray about things like this, it’s a reminder to lean on You completely, knowing that You hold our future in Your hands. Lord, if there’s anything we’re missing in how we’re praying or trusting You, show us. Help us to rest in Your promises, even when we don’t see the answer right away. Give us peace as we wait on You, knowing that Your plans for us are good. We ask all this in Jesus’ name.

I have prayed for you in Jesus name.

**Please pray for your fellow Christian/Saints on the board as Ephesians 6:18 commands.

"Pray at all times in the Spirit, with every prayer and request, and stay alert in this, with all perseverance and intercession for all the saints"
