Oh God, you make it quite clear that forgiveness is a virtue preparation for worship. In fact, it should come before our other prayers, since the forgiveness of our sins depends on our forgiveness of others. If we go to services without forgiving, we set up a roadblock between ourselves and you, which is the last thing we want, since only you can forgive us. Forgiving those who have wronged us is not something we enjoy doing, but it is simply good hygiene, like washing our hands before eating. Remind us of this every time we go to worship, Lord. Give us the strength to forgive others so you will forgive us of our own trespasses. In Jesus name I pray. Amen
