We hear your cry and we are praying with you right now in Jesus name, and we thank you for pouring out your heart so honestly before the Father. We hear how weary and wounded you are, homeless and told to get out, falsely accused and put down, and feeling that compassion is withheld from you even by one who claims to know Christ. We hear that you are human with feelings and you have carried endless suffering for more than three decades, and now you are saying you cannot take this anymore and sometimes wish you were dead and would rather sleep on the street even if your poor health fails. We want you to know that God sees you, He hears you, and you are not forgotten or worthless to Him.

The Lord is close to you in this brokenness. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Matthew 11:28 says Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. When your heart is overwhelmed, Psalm 61:2 says lead me to the rock that is higher than I. Isaiah 41:10 says Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

We understand your pain about being judged and feeling judged. You asked forgiveness if you are judging, and we gently remind us all that we are called to look at fruit. Matthew 7:16 says By their fruits you will know them. It is not wrong to be discerning and to be hurt when you do not see the love of Christ shown to you, especially when you are vulnerable and in need of shelter and kindness. At the same time we are called to not condemn the heart which only God sees, but to pray for those who mistreat us. We pray for that man as well, that God would soften his heart and show him what true compassion looks like, for 1 John 3:17 says But whoever has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, then closes his heart of compassion against him, how does God’s love remain in him.

We lovingly rebuke the lies that have been pressing on you, the lie that you were born just to be smacked from morning to night, the lie that your life has no purpose and that death would be better, and the lie that your suffering will never end. Those thoughts come from the enemy and from exhaustion, not from the Father. Jeremiah 29:11 says For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Romans 8:18 says For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which will be revealed toward us. Romans 8:28 says We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose. Your life is precious to God and He has not brought you this far to abandon you.

We also want to speak gently about your thought of running away to sleep on the street and letting your health fail. We understand why you feel that would be better than being constantly put down, but we plead with you not to harm yourself or put yourself in greater danger. God wants you to live and to find refuge in Him, and He often provides that refuge through His people. Please reach out right away to a local church, a trusted pastor, a shelter, or someone you trust who can help you find a safe place to stay, and if the wish to die grows stronger please tell someone near you or call a trusted crisis helpline in your area so you are not alone in that moment. You are not a burden for having feelings, God made you with feelings and He cares about every tear you cry.

Father in the name of Jesus we lift up our dear one to You right now. We thank You that You see every false accusation, every time they were told this is not a public restroom, every night without a home, every attack from every angle. You know the truth when others falsely accuse, and You are a God of justice and mercy. We ask You to be their shelter and provider, to open a door for safe housing, for daily bread, for health and strength for their body, and for people around them who will show the genuine love of Christ with compassion and dignity. We ask You to lift this heavy burden of despair and suicidal thoughts and replace it with Your peace that passes understanding, to give rest to their weary soul, to remind them that they are fearfully and wonderfully made and deeply loved. We ask You to heal the wounds of more than thirty years of suffering, to renew hope, to show them that their life has purpose in You, and to hold them fast when they feel they cannot endure one more day. We pray for the one who has shown them unkindness, that You would work in his heart and teach us all to love as You love. We rebuke the spirit of hopelessness and we speak life and hope over them in Jesus name, that they would choose life and see Your goodness in the land of the living. Help them to forgive as You have forgiven us and to keep their eyes on You, the rock that is higher. We trust You to answer according to Your perfect will and to carry them through this valley. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to keep crying out to Jesus, for John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. It is only through Him that we have access to God and hope for salvation and for daily grace. Keep talking to Him honestly as you have, keep reading His promises, and keep seeking fellowship with believers who will walk with you and help you find practical help for housing and health. Lamentations 3:22-23 says It is because of Yahweh’s loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn’t fail. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness. His mercies are new every morning for you too. We are continuing to pray for you and we ask God to show you very soon that He has not left you alone.

We have read your cry and we are so grieved by how heavy and relentless this has been. Being without a stable home, being told to leave, being accused unfairly and feeling looked down on would wear anyone down. Carrying this for decades makes it even more exhausting, and we hear how much you are hurting.

If you are thinking you would rather die or might act on those thoughts, please reach out right now. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services right now. For free, confidential support, find a helpline in your country at findahelpline.com. You are not alone; trained people are ready to help right now. If you can, let someone near you know where you are and how you feel, even a shelter worker, clinic staff, or another trusted person nearby.

We hear you saying you are human and you have feelings, and you do. Your feelings matter to God and to us. We also hear your tender conscience about judging that man. Wanting to see Christlike compassion and being hurt when you do not feel it is understandable, and bringing that concern to God as you did is an honest and good thing to do.

Sleeping on the street with poor health worries us for your safety. Alongside prayer, please consider seeing a medical professional or a shelter support worker soon to talk about safe options and care for your health.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus name. You see every accusation and every night without rest. Hold him close, guard his safety, provide a safe place to stay and kind people to walk with him, and show him he is not forgotten. Give him strength for today and wisdom for the next step. Amen.

Your honest cry has come before the Lord and before His people, and we have heard the weight of more than three decades of suffering, the pain of having no stable home, of being told to get out, of being falsely accused and spoken down to, and of feeling that compassion is withheld even where you hoped to find the love of Christ. The Lord knows that you are human and that you have feelings, and He does not despise the tears you have poured out. He sees you in this place of homelessness and constant attack from every angle, and He hears when you say you cannot take it anymore.

We must speak to you with great tenderness and with great truth about the despair that has pressed on your heart, even to wishing that you were dead and thinking it better to perish on the street. No mortal has a just pretense to perish in despair, for God is the sinner's hope and He is not lost, so the word of despair is not warranted. Despair is a high insult to God and it tramples on the blood of Christ, which was shed so that the blood of Jesus Christ might cleanse us from all sin. It also degrades a man below the brute, for even the smallest creature will struggle for life. Yet we say this not to put you down further, but to show you how precious your life is before God and how fully His grace is able to meet you. Grace is glorified precisely where despair says there is no hope. The door of mercy is open, and if you enter you will not be the first ever rejected by Christ, for whoever believes on the Lord Jesus Christ shall be saved.

Consider Him who endured such contradiction of sinners against Himself. Our Lord endured rejection and accusation with singular courage and holy calm, not because He did not feel it, but because He is perfect in nature and great in dignity. He was despised and rejected of men, and He knows what it is to be misunderstood, falsely charged, and treated without compassion. We have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, for He was tempted in all points like as we are, yet without sin. There is a halo round about our griefs since Jesus Christ endured them first. What was sorrowfully true then, that He was despised, is now crowned with glory, for brighter than the sun is His glory now, and He lives to intercede for those who come to Him bowed down in despondency almost to despair. Nothing revives the weary soul like a sight of the Master on the tree, suffering for us that we might live.

We urge you not to run away to sleep on the street and not to give way to the thought that perishing would be better. Your life is not an accident, you were not born only to be smitten, and your suffering is not unseen by God. He can give, even on the hill of sorrow, breezes from the distant Celestial City, and you may yet smell the spices of the glory land where Emmanuel is King. Feed on the Word, feed on a whole Christ, and look to Him now. Confess to Him your sin, your sorrow, your feeling of judgment toward the man who has hurt you, and ask Him to forgive you and to fill you with His own compassion. Ask Him to be your shelter when you have no shelter, your advocate when you are accused, and your hope when endurance feels impossible.

Please do not remain alone in these thoughts. Turn today to a faithful pastor or a mature believer near you, tell them plainly that you are homeless, that you feel at the end of endurance, and that you have wished for death, and ask them to walk with you, to help you find safe shelter and care for your health, and to pray with you and open the Scriptures with you. If you have a local church or rescue mission, go to them and let them know your need. The Lord often provides His compassion through His people.

We are praying for you now, that the God who is your hope would lift you from despair, guard your life, provide for your daily needs, give you a place of safety, soften those who have authority over you, and above all draw you to rest in Jesus Christ, who alone is salvation, and in whom alone we have peace with God.

Father, look upon this weary one who feels homeless and hunted and without compassion. Have mercy and show that You are not lost to him. Wash him in the blood of Christ, lift the cloud of despair, give him strength to endure as Christ endured, and set his feet on the hope of eternal life. Provide shelter, daily bread, and faithful help, and let him taste that You are gracious. Keep him from harm and from the temptation to throw away the life You have given, and lead him to feed on Your Word and to find rest in Jesus. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your cry has been heard and I have sat with your words with great heaviness of heart. You are worn down by homelessness, by being told to leave, by false accusations about the floor, by being told this is not a public restroom, by feeling put down and watched for reasons to condemn you. To be without a home and then to be treated without compassion, especially by one who claims to be a Christian, is a double wound. And to carry this for more than three decades without rest, to feel attacked from every angle from morning to night, to feel that you were born only to be struck, would leave anyone exhausted and in tears. You are not wrong for feeling what you feel. You are human, as you said, and God knows you have feelings. He sees you.

You asked forgiveness if you are judging that man, and that very prayer shows humility before God. It is right to notice when love is missing. Love is not puffed up, is not easily provoked, thinks no evil, and does not let thorns spring up in the soul. When a person who bears the name of Christ shows no compassion, the failure is his, not a sign that God has forgotten you. People can fail to show the love of God, but God himself does not fail to love you. He sees the truth of what happens to you, even when others accuse falsely, and He does not look away.

You said sometimes you wish you were dead and that you would rather sleep on the street even if your poor health leads you to perish. I hear how deep the suffering has gone and how much you want the endless smacking to end. Please hear this with care. You were not born to be struck without purpose. Your life is precious to God, and He does not want you to give yourself over to death. The present life is short and its labor, though it feels heavy now, is small compared to the hope that God holds out to those who endure. Do not let the thought that it would be better to perish settle in your heart as a plan. If you can, stay where you are safer for your health, and reach out right away to someone you trust, a pastor, a shelter worker, a counselor, or a trusted friend. If you feel you might act on the wish to die, please reach out now for help in your area. In the United States you can call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, and in other countries you can find a local helpline by searching findahelpline.org. You do not have to carry this alone.

Scripture teaches that our salvation comes not only through believing but also through enduring the same sufferings with patience, and that grace works together with our willingness in that endurance. The work of salvation consists not in doing evil but in suffering evil with long suffering. There is nothing so impenetrable as a long suffering soul. As a spark falling into the deep does no injury to the deep but is itself quenched, so when unexpected hardships fall upon a long suffering soul, they quickly vanish and do not disturb it. This does not mean your pain is small. It means God can make your soul strong and sheltered as you lean on Him, so that these accusations and rejections do not have the final word over you.

The enemy never despairs of our destruction, yet we so quickly despair of our own salvation. Do not despair. Even those who had received the Spirit, worked miracles, and endured many contests and persecutions, and then fell, were told that if they have a mind to shake off drowsiness and recover themselves, it is not in vain. How much more is there hope for you now, weary as you are, to recover strength in Christ. God is able to lift you, to comfort you, and to increase and heighten His work in you through endurance.

I pray for you now. Father in the name of Jesus Christ, look upon Your child who is homeless and weary and accused and without compassion from those nearby. You see every tear and know every feeling. Give rest to this heart that has suffered so long. Provide a safe place to stay, people who will show mercy, and daily bread and help for health. Guard this life from despair and from harm on the street. Teach long suffering that quiets the soul, and let Your comfort be felt as real and near. Show that You have not forgotten, that You are close to the brokenhearted, and that in Christ there is forgiveness, hope, and a future. Give strength to endure one day at a time and to not give up. Amen.

Please do not run away to the street. Stay as safe as you can and let someone near you know how heavy this has become so they can walk with you. God sees you, He has not cast you away, and He is able to sustain you through this night and into the next day.
