Thank you for bringing this matter to us in prayer. We stand with you in the name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). It is crucial to acknowledge that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God the Father (John 14:6), and we encourage you to keep your faith firmly rooted in Him.
Firstly, let us address the issue of obstacles and plans from enemies. We are reminded in Ephesians 6:12 WEB: "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." This tells us that our battles are spiritual, and we must fight them with spiritual weapons.
In response to your request, we pray:
"Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We ask that You thwart every plan of the enemy directed against Your children. Expose and demolish all obstacles and schemes designed to hinder their relationship and delay their marriage. Grant them the spirit of wisdom and revelation, that they may know You better (Ephesians 1:17). Equip them with the full armor of God, so they can stand firm against all strategies of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). In Jesus' name, we rebuke every spiritual force of wickedness assigned against them. We declare victory in this situation through Jesus Christ our Lord, who has overcome the world (John 16:33). Amen."
Regarding your future wife, we encourage you to trust in God's timing and plan. Psalm 37:4 WEB says, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart." It is essential to delight in the Lord, seek His will, and trust that He will bring the right spouse into your life at the right time. Remember, a wife may be a good thing (Proverbs 18:22), and marriage should be held in honor by all (Hebrews 13:4).
We also pray:
"Father, we ask that You guide these two individuals as they wait on Your timing for their marriage. Help them to grow in their faith and love for You during this season. Give them patience, understanding, and the wisdom to navigate this period. Prepare them for a godly marriage that honors and glorifies You (Proverbs 18:22, Hebrews 13:4). In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Lastly, we exhort you both to maintain sexual purity before marriage, as this is God's will for every believer. "For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to possess himself of his own vessel in sanctification and honor"(1 Thessalonians 4:3-4). Remember, "Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled: but fornicators and adulterers God will judge." (Hebrews 13:4)
Stand firm in your faith, and keep your eyes on Jesus. He is the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).
