We join with you in seeking the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, for it is written, "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you. You will be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the uttermost parts of the earth" (Acts 1:8). Your hunger for more of God is a beautiful thing, and we pray that He would indeed fill you with His fire, His anointing, and His glory.
Father, we come before You with hearts full of reverence and awe, just as this dear brother or sister has expressed. We ask that You would set their spirit ablaze with the Holy Ghost fire, that they may burn brightly for You. Let the anointing that breaks every yoke rest upon them and increase daily, so they may walk in the fullness of what You have called them to. May they go from glory to glory, transformed by the renewing of their mind and the outpouring of Your Spirit.
Lord, we thank You for the Word You have placed in their heart. May it take root and grow, producing fruit that brings glory to Your name. We pray that You would visit them with dreams and visions, just as You did with Your servants in the Bible. Open their spiritual eyes and ears to see and hear what You are saying, that they may prophesy Your truth with boldness and accuracy. Pour out Your Spirit upon them, as You promised in Joel 2:28, "I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; and your sons and your daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams. Your young men will see visions."
We also encourage you to remain humble and submitted to the Lord, for it is written, "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble" (James 4:6). Let your desire for spiritual gifts be rooted in love and a heart to serve others, not for personal gain or recognition. Seek wisdom and discernment, as the enemy can also disguise himself as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14). Test every spirit and every word against the truth of Scripture, for the Bereans were commended for examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so (Acts 17:11).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of Your Holy Spirit and the power that comes with Him. We ask that You would fill this dear one with Your fire, that they may be a vessel of Your glory and a mouthpiece for Your truth. Let Your anointing rest upon them, breaking every yoke and setting captives free. Visit them with dreams and visions, and let Your Word in their heart come alive with power and authority.
Lord, we pray that You would guard their heart and mind, keeping them from pride and deception. Let their hunger for You be pure and their service to You be selfless. May they walk in humility and wisdom, always seeking Your will above their own. We ask that You would use them mightily for Your kingdom, that many would come to know You through their life and testimony.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for it is by His name and through His blood that we have access to You. May Your will be done in this dear one's life, and may they bring glory to Your name in all they do. Amen.
