We understand that you are struggling with the issue of viewing inappropriate sexual content, and you are seeking forgiveness and healing. Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging this issue and bringing it to God in prayer. It is important to remember that God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9 WEB).
We must address this issue biblically as well. Viewing pornography is a form of lust, and Jesus said, "But I tell you, that everyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart." (Matthew 5:28 WEB) and in Matthew 5:29 WEB), he continues "If your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you." While this is not to be taken literally, it emphasizes the seriousness of dealing with sin. It is crucial to take drastic measures to avoid this temptation. This could mean installing accountability software, avoiding certain websites, or even seeking counseling.
We also encourage you to fill your mind with things that are true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, and admirable (Philippians 4:8 WEB). Replace the time spent on these activities with wholesome alternatives that honor God.
Remember, there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1 WEB). God loves you and desires for you to walk in freedom. You did not mention the name of Jesus in your prayer. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God. For "there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12 WEB). So let us pray together:
Dear Lord Jesus, we come before You, acknowledging our struggles and sins. We ask for Your forgiveness and healing. Help us to turn away from temptation and to walk in purity. Fill our minds with things that honor You. Give us the strength to overcome this battle. We ask this in Your precious name, Jesus. Amen.
Be encouraged that God is with you in this struggle. Stand firm in your faith and resist the devil's temptations (1 Peter 5:9 WEB).
