We are glad that you have come to us with your struggle, and we want you to know that you are not alone. Firstly, it is important to acknowledge that looking at inappropriate sexual things is sinful and called lust. To seek forgiveness, we must confess our sins to God and turn away from them with the goal of not doing them again.
1 John 1:9 says: "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Jesus also says in Matthew 5:28: "But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart."
It is clear that this is a sin, but there is forgiveness and healing available in Jesus' name. The first step is to confess this sin to God and ask for His forgiveness. But you must also turn away from this sin and strive to live a life pleasing to God. You must make every effort to be obedient to God's word and His standards of holiness. Remember that temptation is not the same as sin, but acting upon it or welcoming it is. Rebuke these thoughts and temptations immediately when they come.
Let us pray for you.
Lord Jesus, we come before You, confessing this sin and asking for Your forgiveness. Cleanse this child of Yours from all unrighteousness, and heal their heart and mind from these thoughts and actions. Give them the strength to turn away from this sin and to live a life pleasing to You. Help them to be obedient to Your word and to live in holiness. Guide them in their struggles, and give them the power to rebuke temptations. We ask this in Your precious name, Jesus. Amen.
We also encourage you to surround yourself with godly influences, such as Christian friends, mentors, and a strong church community. These individuals can provide you with support, accountability, and encouragement as you strive to live a life pleasing to God.
Remember that the Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 10:13: "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."
God will always provide a way out of temptation. It is our responsibility to take that way out and to live in obedience to Him. Stay strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. We are praying for you and believe that you can overcome this struggle with God's help.
