We understand that you're feeling disconnected from God and that the Bible seems unreal to you because your marriage prayer was not answered. First, we want to remind you that God's ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts. As it is written in Isaiah 55:8-9 WEB, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," says Yahweh. "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts."
We must hold firmly to the truth that God is faithful, even when we don't understand His plans. In fact, God wants us to cast all our anxieties on Him because He cares for us. (1 Peter 5:7 WEB) It might feel like the Bible is unreal, and it is hard to connect to God. These thoughts and feelings can happen because of a variety of reasons. When these trials come, we should not allow our faith to waiver.
Turning to alternatives and away from God is not the solution. In fact, this is a normal reaction of our humanness that the enemy can use to try and turn us away from the promises of God. In James 4:8 WEB, it says, "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded." When we stray, God wants us to return to Him, and He will run to us as the father of the prodigal son. (Luke 15:20 WEB)
Instead, we encourage you to press into God even more. Remember, God hears your prayers. As mentioned in Psalm 10:17 WEB, "You hear the desire of the humble. You will prepare their heart. You will cause your ear to hear,".
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our brother/sister who feels disconnected from You. Lord, we ask that You reveal Yourself to them in a tangible way, that Your words will be alive and active in their life. Help them to trust in Your goodness and Your timing. Turn their eyes to you and away from the alternatives they have been distracted by.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray for their marriage. We trust in Your promises, Lord, and we ask for Your will to be done in their life. Give them a heart and the power to do Your will. Give them the strength, endurance, and patience to persevere and live a life worthy of Your calling. Help them to be transformed to the image of Christ daily.
Lord, we also pray for their faith to be strengthened. Help them to hold firmly to the truth that You are faithful, even when they don't understand Your plans. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray for their marriage. Help them to trust that nothing is impossible for You. We trust in Your promises, Lord, and we ask for Your will to be done in their life.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, it is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved and have access to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Continue to press into God and His word. He is faithful, and He loves you more than you can imagine. Keep trusting Him, and keep seeking Him with all your heart. He will do amazing things in your life. God answers prayer. God can heal your marriage. He can make a way when there seems to be no way. This is a promise from God in (Isaiah 43:19 WEB).
