We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this marriage that is under attack. Father, we declare that marriage is a sacred covenant established by You, a reflection of Christ’s love for His church (Ephesians 5:22-33). We rebuke the spirit of division and strife that seeks to tear apart what You have joined together (Matthew 19:6). Lord, we pray for this husband to turn away from the path of divorce and to seek reconciliation with his wife. Soften his heart, remove any bitterness or unforgiveness, and let Your peace reign in his mind. We also rebuke the influence of the mother-in-law in this situation, any words or actions that fuel discord must cease in Jesus’ name. Let Your truth prevail, and may she speak life and encouragement instead of division.
Father, we ask for Your provision in this sister’s life. You are Jehovah-Jireh, our Provider (Genesis 22:14), and we trust You to open doors for a permanent job that aligns with her skills and honors You. Strengthen her hands to complete the work You’ve called her to, whether in her career or the building projects she mentioned. We declare that her labor will not be in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58).
For her children, Lord, we pray for wisdom and maturity. May they rise up as sources of support and encouragement during this trial (Proverbs 17:17). Give them focus in their studies, especially the elder one, and let their hearts be inclined toward obedience and excellence (Colossians 3:20). We declare that their ears will be attentive to instruction and their minds sharp to grasp what they are learning.
We also address the weight of this season, emotionally, spiritually, and practically. The enemy seeks to isolate and discourage, but we stand on Your promise that You will never leave nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). We pray for supernatural strength, joy that defies circumstances, and a community of believers to surround this family with love and prayer.
Above all, we declare that restoration is possible because with You, all things are possible (Mark 10:27). We bind every spirit of divorce, unforgiveness, and pride in Jesus’ name, and we loose love, humility, and unity over this marriage. May this husband and wife remember their vows before You and choose to fight for their covenant. Let their home be rebuilt on the foundation of Your Word, and may their children see the power of forgiveness and grace in action.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, who makes all things new (Revelation 21:5). Amen.
