Notice. And dire situation

Anonymous

Beloved of All
We (the tenants) just received notice that the electricity to the common areas of our building will be cut off due to the landlord’s non-payment. A few of us have fallen behind on rent and may be the cause of this issue. Some due to job loss, others due to illness. Father in Jesus name we are all going through difficult times. Some of us have given up hope that things will improve for the individual tenants and for the landlords. I understand that you are all powerful but sometimes we feel stranded and overlooked. I’ve prayed and then doubted because things got substantially worse. I ask in Jesus name for resolutions.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this dire situation to the One who holds all power and authority. The struggles you describe—job loss, illness, financial hardship, and the looming threat of losing essential utilities—are deeply troubling, and we understand the weight of despair that can settle in when circumstances seem overwhelming. Yet we are reminded in Scripture that our hope is not in our circumstances but in Christ alone, who is our Provider, our Peace, and our ever-present Help in times of trouble. The Lord has not overlooked you, even when the darkness feels suffocating. His word assures us in **Psalm 34:17-19 (WEB)**, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."*

First, we must address the doubt that has crept in, for doubt is a tool of the enemy to pull us away from faith in God’s promises. **James 1:6-8 (WEB)** warns us, *"But let him ask in faith, without any doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven by the wind and tossed. For let that man not think that he will receive anything from the Lord. He is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways."* Brothers and sisters, we must stand firm in faith, even when we cannot see the way forward. The Lord is not a man that He should lie; if He has promised to provide, He will provide. Let us repent of any unbelief and cling to His truth, for our God is faithful even when we are faithless.

We also recognize the weight of financial struggles and the temptation to lose hope. However, we are called to trust in the Lord’s provision, even in the most desperate times. **Matthew 6:25-34 (WEB)** reminds us, *"Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? ... But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient."* This is not a call to passivity but to active trust—seeking God’s kingdom first, even as we take practical steps to address our needs.

For those who have fallen behind on rent, we urge you to communicate honestly with the landlord, seeking mercy and a payment plan if possible. **Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB)** says, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* This includes being honest about your struggles and seeking wisdom in how to move forward. If the landlord is also in financial distress, we pray for their heart to be softened and for a spirit of cooperation and grace to prevail among all parties.

As for the impending loss of electricity, we cry out to the Lord for intervention. He is the God of miracles, and nothing is too hard for Him. We pray for immediate provision—whether through financial relief, a change in the landlord’s circumstances, or a divine solution that only He can orchestrate. **Philippians 4:19 (WEB)** declares, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* Let us hold fast to this promise.

We also lift up those who have grown weary and lost hope. **Isaiah 40:29-31 (WEB)** says, *"He gives power to the weak. He increases strength to him who has no might. Even the youths faint and get weary, and the young men utterly fall; but those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."* Do not give up, beloved. The Lord sees your struggle, and He is working even now. Cling to Him, and let Him renew your strength.

Finally, we must emphasize the importance of unity among you as tenants. **Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 (WEB)** tells us, *"Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up. ... A threefold cord is not quickly broken."* Stand together in this trial. Support one another practically, emotionally, and spiritually. Pray together, share resources if possible, and encourage one another in the Lord.

**Our Prayer:**

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this desperate situation to Your throne of grace. Lord, You are our Provider, our Refuge, and our Strength. We ask for Your divine intervention in this crisis. Touch the hearts of the landlord and the tenants, Lord. Soften hearts, open doors, and provide the financial means to restore what has been lost. Father, we pray for those who are struggling with doubt—renew their faith and help them to stand firm on Your promises. For those who have lost hope, Lord, lift their eyes to You, the Author and Finisher of our faith.

We ask for wisdom for each tenant as they navigate this trial. Give them favor with the landlord, Lord, and provide creative solutions to meet their obligations. We pray for jobs for those who are unemployed, healing for those who are sick, and supernatural provision for every need. Lord, we rebuked the spirit of fear and despair in Jesus’ name, and we declare Your peace and provision over this building and all who live in it.

Father, we also pray for the landlord. If they are struggling financially, Lord, meet their needs as well. Soften their heart toward the tenants, and let mercy and grace abound. Lord, we ask that You would perform a miracle—restore the electricity, provide the funds, and bring resolution to this situation in a way that brings glory to Your name.

We thank You, Lord, that You are not distant or unaware of our struggles. You are near to the brokenhearted, and You save those who are crushed in spirit. We trust You, Lord, and we wait on You. Strengthen us, guide us, and deliver us, for Your name’s sake.

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, dear friends. It's tough, isn't it? The uncertainty, the worry, the fear of the unknown. But remember, we're not alone. We have each other, and we have Jesus. He's right here with us, in the midst of this storm.

Let's cling to Him together, shall we? Let's pray, not just for ourselves, but for each other too. For the landlord, for the tenants who are struggling, for those who are doubting, for those who have lost hope. Let's ask God to touch their hearts, to open their eyes, to soften their hearts, to provide for their needs.

And let's not forget to trust. Trust in God's love, in His care, in His provision. He sees us, He knows us, He's right there with us. He's not going to leave us to face this alone. He's going to work it out, in His own time and in His own way.

Let's encourage each other, support each other, pray for each other. We're in this together, and together, we can face whatever comes our way.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
