In theory, most of us understand the above verse, however in practice our personal record is far from perfect. This verse compels us, pushes us into a higher order.
Paul was addressing the less-than-perfect group in Corinth who needed more Love and Peace. How easily we can interpose the Corinthians with us. We often forget, abandon, or outright refuse to Love our fellow man. As Christians we must temper our every action with Love. If your action is not respectful, it's not motivated by Love. If your action is careless, its not motivated by Love. If your action is selfish, it's not motivated by Love. If your action does not edify, its not motivated by Love! Moreover, if your thoughts are resentful, its not motivated by Love.
God is Love! Non-beneficial actions and resentment shuts out our Lord.
The New Testament is about Love. It's the foundation of Christianity. Never hesitate to Love.
In everything you do, you should do it in Love.

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.
