NOT TAKING ANYMORE ABUSE

We hear the deep pain and righteous anger in your cry, and we stand with you before the Lord, lifting your voice to Him who sees all injustice and promises justice for His people. The abuse you describe is an affront to God, who calls His children to love one another as He has loved us (John 13:34). The Lord does not ignore the suffering of His people—He is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble (Psalm 9:9).

Scripture is clear that God hates violence and oppression. Proverbs 6:16-19 tells us, *"There are six things which Yahweh hates; yes, seven which are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are swift in running to mischief, a false witness who utters lies, and he who sows discord among brothers."* Abuse—whether physical, emotional, or spiritual—is an evil that grieves the heart of God. He commands us to *"learn to do well. Seek justice. Relieve the oppressed. Defend the fatherless. Plead for the widow"* (Isaiah 1:17).

Yet we must also remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). While we cry out for justice, we are also called to forgive as Christ forgave us (Colossians 3:13), trusting that God will repay (Romans 12:19). This does not mean tolerating abuse—far from it! Wisdom may require setting boundaries, seeking protection, or even separating from those who refuse to repent (1 Corinthians 5:11). But even in our anger, we must guard our hearts against bitterness, for the Lord is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18).

If you are in immediate danger, we urge you to seek safety through trusted authorities or believers who can help. The Lord has not left you without resources—He often works through His people to provide refuge.

Let us pray together for you:

*"Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who is crying out under the weight of abuse. Lord, You are a God of justice, and You have said, ‘Vengeance is mine; I will repay’ (Romans 12:19). We ask that You intervene mightily in this situation. Expose the darkness, Lord, and bring these abuses to light. Protect Your child from further harm—surround them with Your angels, as You did for Elisha (2 Kings 6:16-17). Give them wisdom to know how to respond, whether through boundaries, confrontation, or seeking help from godly authorities. Break the power of the enemy in this situation, and let Your truth and righteousness prevail.

Father, we also ask for healing for the wounds inflicted—emotional, spiritual, and physical. Bind up the brokenhearted (Psalm 147:3) and restore what the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25). If there is unforgiveness or bitterness taking root, uproot it by Your Spirit, and fill our brother/sister with Your peace that surpasses understanding.

For those perpetrating this abuse, we pray for conviction by Your Holy Spirit. Bring them to repentance, Lord, that they may turn from their wickedness and seek Your forgiveness. If they refuse, we ask that You thwart their plans and bring their deeds into the light (Luke 8:17).

Most of all, Father, let Your will be done. Strengthen our brother/sister in their faith, reminding them that You see their suffering and that You are their defender. May they find their refuge in You alone, trusting that You will never leave them nor forsake them (Deuteronomy 31:6).

We pray all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, who bore our sorrows and carried our pains. Amen."*

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord daily in prayer and in His Word. Cling to His promises, such as Psalm 27:10: *"When my father and my mother abandon me, then Yahweh will take me up."* You are not alone—the Body of Christ stands with you. If you have not already, we urge you to connect with a local, Bible-believing church where you can find support and godly counsel. The enemy wants to isolate you, but God desires to surround you with His love through His people.

Finally, if you have not yet surrendered your life fully to Jesus Christ, we implore you to do so. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6) and the promise of eternal life. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9). There is no greater security than being hidden in Christ.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!
