Not about money, but salvation, an orderly life, keeping God's Commands, 1 Cor 7:19; not hindering the gospel or testimony of Jesus, Mt 28:19-20

Good and Faithful Servant
Need to show proof to home group leader and pastor of a pattern of stealing, squandering money by outrageous spending, and foolish investments. Had the chance to I'm into her emails — my fears are confirmed despite denials -- stole and spent 2 year's worth of son’s college fund (squandered in 6 months while I was paying for rent, internet, electric and while she was making income… Also acquired several large debts which I am forced to pay. I live/teach debt-free living+generosity, so aqainst my wishes, instructions and expressed will...

The borrowing is ongoing, and we've maxed out our monthly budget. We’re talking a SERIOUS need of counseling and repentance... So far has admitted nothing, and lied to home group leader and wife -- but now we can put that to bed and get to the real issues -- Need for salvation -- repentance from greed, love of money, stealing -- breaking the commands of God and Natural Order to enter the Celestial City, "Outside are the dogs, and the sorcerers, and the sexually immoral, and the murderers, and the idolaters, and everyone loving and practicing falsehood," Rev 22:15...

Father, I have her best interest in mind -- and that of my son -- and that is that she confess her sins and be saved by grace through real, obedient faith in Jesus Christ -- but I cannot do what only You can: open her eyes... I do not want to be The Holy Spirit, nor can I do what You can, but would like to save her, and ask You to convict her of righteousness, sin and eternal judgement, John 16:18, Heb 6:1-2, 3. Deliver her from lying, Rev 21:6, thefts, Rev 9:21, her cunning craftiness and deceitful scheming, Eph 4:14 -- It's not about the money -- "what matters is keeping the commandments of God,"1 Cor 7:19. Thank you for compassionate prayers of faith for this humbling and trying situation, in Jesus' Name.

We hear the deep anguish in your heart as you stand before the Lord with this heavy burden, and we join you in fervent prayer, seeking God’s mercy and justice in this painful situation. The betrayal you describe—stealing, deceit, and the squandering of resources meant for your son’s future—is not merely a financial issue but a spiritual one, rooted in the love of money, which Scripture warns is a root of all kinds of evil (1 Timothy 6:10). The pattern of theft and dishonesty you’ve uncovered is a grievous violation of God’s commands, and it grieves the Holy Spirit, who calls us to holiness and truth (Ephesians 4:28-30). The lies told to your home group leader and others reveal a hardened heart that must be broken before the Lord, for "the Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy" (Proverbs 12:22).

You are right to bring this before your pastor and home group leader, for Scripture commands us to confront sin within the body of Christ with the goal of repentance and restoration (Matthew 18:15-17). The evidence you’ve gathered must be presented with both firmness and compassion, not to shame but to awaken her conscience to the gravity of her actions. Yet we must also guard our own hearts, for bitterness and resentment can take root when we’ve been wronged so deeply. As we pray, we ask the Lord to help you speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15), trusting that God alone can soften her heart and bring about genuine repentance.

Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this marriage and this precious soul who has strayed so far from Your ways. We ask You to convict her of her sin—not with a spirit of condemnation, but with the loving conviction of the Holy Spirit, who leads us to repentance (John 16:8). Break the chains of deceit and greed that have bound her, Lord, and replace them with a hunger for righteousness. Open her eyes to the destruction her choices have caused, not just to her husband and son, but to her own soul. We pray for a supernatural work of Your grace, that she would turn from her wicked ways and seek Your face with a broken and contrite heart (Psalm 51:17). Deliver her from the love of money, which has led her into temptation and a snare (1 Timothy 6:9), and restore in her a spirit of generosity, contentment, and integrity.

We also lift up this husband, who has borne the weight of this betrayal with such godly sorrow. Strengthen him, Lord, to stand firm in truth while extending grace, just as Christ has done for us. Guard his heart from bitterness and give him wisdom as he navigates this difficult path of confrontation and accountability. Help him to model Christlike love, even in the face of unrepentance, trusting that You are the ultimate Judge (Romans 12:19). We pray for their son, that he would be shielded from the fallout of this sin and that his faith would remain steadfast, anchored in You.

Lord, we declare that no sin is beyond Your redemption. Even now, we ask You to intervene in this marriage, to bring healing where there is brokenness, and to restore what has been stolen—not just financially, but spiritually and emotionally. We rebuke the spirit of deception that has taken hold, and we command it to flee in the mighty name of Jesus. Let Your light expose every hidden thing, and let Your mercy draw her back to You. We pray for the pastor and home group leader, that they would handle this matter with wisdom, discernment, and a commitment to biblical truth, always pointing her to the cross where forgiveness and transformation are found.

Above all, we pray for her salvation. May she come to know Jesus not just as a concept, but as her Lord and Savior, who died to set her free from the power of sin. May she experience the life-changing power of the gospel, turning from her idols to serve the living God (1 Thessalonians 1:9). We trust You, Lord, to complete the work You’ve begun, for You are faithful, and Your love never fails. In the name of Jesus, who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, dear friend, as you navigate this storm. We've been praying and will continue to lift you up. It's clear that the heart of the matter is not just about the money, but about the salvation and repentance of your loved one. We're reminded of the words in 2 Corinthians 7:10, "Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death." We're asking the Lord to give you both godly sorrow, leading to genuine repentance and restoration.

We're also praying for wisdom and courage as you approach your pastor and home group leader. May they be instruments of God's grace and truth in this situation. We claim the promise in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."

Let's continue to stand in the gap, interceding for your loved one, that they may experience the transforming power of God's grace. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

Seek His Face and Presence not just His hand. In his Presence is everything you need. This does not mean you can have any material thing, perfect spouse because you asked for it in Jesus Christ name. You will have your needs, some of your wants, and difficult trials. The difficult trials are supposed to refine your character and make you more like Jesus. He is more interested in getting you to everlasting life and having your heart in the right place than he is in giving you gifts. It’s eternal life he’s concerned with.

We are deeply moved by your heartfelt prayer request and have been standing with you in prayer these past days, lifting up every concern to our Heavenly Father. Your burden for salvation, repentance, and the restoration of godly order in your home has been heavy on our hearts as we intercede on your behalf.

We continue to pray that the Lord would break through the barriers of denial and deception, softening hearts to receive His truth. May He grant wisdom, discernment, and courage to your home group leader and pastor as they walk alongside you in this difficult season. We ask the Holy Spirit to convict with clarity and gentleness, leading to genuine repentance and a turning away from all that hinders a life fully surrendered to Christ. Your desire to see your loved one saved—not just from financial ruin, but from the grip of sin—reflects the heart of our Savior, and we join you in crying out for her soul.

If the Lord has already begun to move in this situation, we would be overjoyed to hear a praise report so we can glorify Him together. If the battle still rages, we want you to know we will not stop praying. Please feel free to post this request again so we can persist in standing with you, believing God for breakthrough, healing, and the fullness of His promises.

May the Lord strengthen you with His peace, surround you with His presence, and remind you that you are not alone in this fight. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus, our Redeemer and Deliverer. Amen.
