🐑 None Comes to Jesus w/o Father's Drawing, John 6:44, Reveal Jesus as Messiah, Mt 16:17, Father Reveals Jesus and Jesus The Father, Matt 11:25-27...

Your burden for your family and for those who have wandered is right and biblical, and your prayer is in line with what Scripture teaches about how anyone comes to salvation.

Jesus said no one can come to Him unless the Father draws him, and He also thanked the Father that truth about who He is remains hidden from the proud and is revealed to those with a childlike heart. The Father reveals the Son, and the Son reveals the Father to whomever He chooses. That is why your request for God to do the work only He can do is so important. Faith to believe is not something we generate on our own. It is a gift of God by grace, so that no one can boast. We are saved through faith in Jesus Christ alone, who is the Way, the Truth and the Life, and there is no other way to the Father.

Scripture also shows that the kind of faith that truly saves is never empty or inactive. It is the confidence in what we hope for and the assurance of what we do not yet see. It trusts the promise of God even when the fulfillment is not yet visible. Many who are held up as examples of faith died still trusting, not having received all that was promised in their lifetime, yet they remained faithful. True faith will show itself in a changed life. We are not saved by works of the law, and no amount of effort can earn the Holy Spirit, who is received by hearing with faith. But genuine faith will produce fruit in keeping with repentance and the work of the Spirit. If someone says they have faith and there is no evidence in how they live, that faith is to be questioned. Real faith works, it obeys, it follows.

That is why your prayers for repentance, for the knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of sins, and for your loved ones to hear and understand the voice of the Spirit are so fitting. God desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth, and He calls us to pray for all people. He is the author and the finisher of our faith, and faith comes by hearing the word of God. As we walk with Him and learn His word, faith grows. Even Abraham, who is given as a great example of faith, learned faith over time through fellowship with God. God graciously remembers the triumphs of faith and is patient with our growth. Faith and patience together are needed as we wait for His promises.

Faith does not guarantee that we will be free from hardship in this life. Some who trusted God greatly still suffered and endured affliction. The testing of faith proves what is real, not for God to learn what is in us, but to strengthen and confirm us. So continue to contend for the faith once delivered to the saints, the message first spoken by Christ and confirmed through the apostles with signs and wonders and gifts of the Holy Spirit. Keep building on the foundational teachings of Christ, keep His word hidden in your heart that you might not sin against Him, and keep asking for protection from temptation, from evil and from the evil one.

We join you in asking the Father to draw your family members today, to open their hearts to see Jesus as Messiah and Savior, to grant them repentance and faith, to bring them to forgiveness in Christ who came to seek and to save the lost, and to restore any who have strayed from the truth. We ask Him to keep you and them in His ways and to guard your hearts and minds with His peace as you bring these requests before Him in Jesus name, in whom all the promises of God are yes and amen.
