Around the time of the holidays, I think the craziness is amplified even more, which is likely what's happening. I posted before, that's the part of the holidays I DON'T like, here not so many firecrackers, but more crowded, people rushing around in a more frantic way, more job-related busyness. Many hyper people thrive on this, but it's not really my cup of tea. It's like that at other times, but it gets even worse now. {That's why I like summer better, it's a more "laid back" type of atmosphere.} But for you, I would think that after New Years, I would think it would at least diminish some, at least back to "normal".
Here in ###, they have started to garn streets and shops etc earlier and earlier, not any more like tradition says, but every year bit earlier, so also boys/men are throwing petards and firecrackers even something like bombs in the day and night time couple of days before Christmas. Sometimes the air smells very bad at the night of Christmas especially New Years Eve. The economy here is bad, people are going to work abroad, there was never so many people picking up things from garbage cans....so some kind of depression is present and I suppose this is the reason that people use more alcohol, drugs and petards, firecrackers etc... because of general depression, producing artificial joy....we had war here and there are men that transfer on their sons the love for arms/weapons and bombs which is not good, many of them invalides (emotional or physical), they are very privileged in the society and honored and so they have no measure for good or bad, even very arrogant. etc etc... I hope you understand now at least the part of the situation here... there is also much fascist hate against most of other nationalities... everything evil... ### are pretty much stuffed with hate opened or hidden.....so it is manifested also through aggressive acts that I mentioned....
